Mark and his team responded quickly to my call about my heat pump hot water heater not working properly. After diagnostics, the manufacturer confirmed the unit could not be repaired and supplied a replacement unit under warranty. Mazgan removed the old unit and installed the replacement in a difficult installation which required using a hoist through a sidewalk trap door to remove the old unit and lower the new unit into the cellar. On the same day they did maintenance to a separate boiler unit which was not working. The technicians were capable and neat in their work, and Mark, the owner, was accommodating and helpful. I would gladly use Mazgan again.

I’m a general contractor and hired Mazgan A.C. & Heating Repair for a challenging HVAC project that involved baseboard heating and multiple control components. They installed Honeywell zone valves, ran new PEX lines, added thermostat transformers, and set up White-Rodgers thermostats. Their work was clean, professional, and everything functioned exactly as it should by the end of the job. I’m very impressed with their expertise and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

My central AC stopped working so my father suggested we call Mazgan who he had just used after a recommendation from his friend. Best decision! Besides the professionalism and knowledge of Mr. Mark and his great employees, the ease of booking an appointment, the info of what happened and why , the details , the quickness of their arrival ; it was a very great experience. When he came to check on the freon and was telling me what the worker had to do he was telling me some behind the scenes info that i wouldn't have known The worker saw something wasn't as good as they like so he waited 9 hours to test it , came back and made sure it was perfect Mark said it the best "We don't settle for good we want great ". He was so into helping me , he was very very helpful and personable and worked with my budget .he was trying to help me save money and get the most energy efficient machine to help with the electricity bill. He was patient with my questions and answered with great metaphors so I can understand. I'm very glad I used Mazgan !!!

Highly Recommend! I first called Mark from Mazgan but hesitated on the price and tried two other techs—neither could figure it out. It was 95 degrees and still no AC. I called Mark back, and he had it diagnosed and fixed within minutes. Super professional and knew exactly what he was doing. Worth every penny!

They did the job but it was very expensive. Even if you keep the filters clean, as I do, split unit heads occasionally develop leaks due to the infiltration of dust, cat hair, etc. in the air when they're not running. Four years ago, I called an A/C company to fix leaks in two of the heads which were bad enough that I had to repair the wall. They (two guys) showed up with specialized draping equipment for cleaning the heads and left after installing some device that they said would reduce the mold that caused the drains to clog. It did its job through four seasons. They charged $475 for all three heads, including a quick cleaning of the outside compressor. I thought I was calling the same company but apparently not. Mazgan sent one guy who told me that the cleaning would be charged extra on top of maintenance. My assumption was that cleaning IS maintenance. He was here for all of 2.5 hours, serviced two heads, cleaned just one and never looked at the outside compressor . I was charged $900+. When I complained about the shocking price the boss approved a $50 discount. $400/hour for labor given that there were no parts involved is excessive. It's twice what my car dealer charges for repairs. This isn't how you win repeat customers. I won't be one of them. FOLLOWUP The A/C head began leaking again a week later, even worse than before. In Mazgan's defense they did send the same guy back the next day. I believe it's finally fixed this time and Mazgan didn't charge me again for it. The culprit was a clogged condensate hose, which probably became clogged even more as a result of the first incomplete cleaning. But my question still remains: what does "maintenance" mean in the context of a split unit head if not cleaning it and why was I charged separately for that? What other "maintenance" does it need?

Mark is wonderful, and Sadie, Jaki, and Gershon followed in his footsteps. All are: Courteous. Professional. Smart. Sensitive to needs of renters and residences. Willing to take hours to ensure that the job was done right, and to make useful suggestions on related piping. And able to make a service call and procure a new water heater on a Sunday ! I would absolutely use again and recommend to anyone.

Update: STILL NO REIMBURSEMENT. My NYS Court case against Mazgan was successful but now unfortunately I am forced to seek assistance from the NYC Marshalls office for collection as they have failed to pay the judgment despite multiple requests. Mazgan provided me a $250 estimate over the phone and then charged me $800 to get my furnace working after 2 hours (that's $400/hr!) with the guarantee that their expertise (which I was paying so much for) would mean they would take how ever long necessary to get my furnace working properly. I was stuck and I paid. A couple of days later the furnace stopped and I called them back. They wanted to charge me another $800!! When I balked they started to negotiate with me, first taking $150 off, then going down to $400. Very unsavory operation to do business with. I asked them to leave. I've subsequently disputed the charge with my credit card co and if not successful I will follow-up with small claims court. Now they had the nerve to just send me another invoice wanting to charge me for coming back the second time when I threw them out!
