My panels were installed in December of 2018. Edit: I just got off the phone with them (makenzie 3:05PM 04/02/2019)... "animals chewed some wires and apparently it has "completely destroyed the panels". I am held accountable when I was told I have a 30 year (life warranty on the panels). This is an absolute joke. I spent $17,000 on my panels and now (after losing at least $200 in energy for my panels being down) that I am accountable to pay for the panels that were destroyed. In the attached image, it says they are going to pick up my panels? No way, Jose! I paid $17,000 for those! That would be theft. These guys are shady. They're thieves. They do nothing to make it right with the customers. Completely at awe by their lack of customer service and inability to do the right thing. Wow.... End of edit: below is original review. As you can see above... it has only gotten worse! Original: These guys are an absolute joke... I am wicked patient. Wicked patient. Otherwise... I may have written a poor review sooner. The process to get my panels installed took many many months. No poor review, I get it, they're busy... Panels finally on, when they're installed, inspection done and all, quite awhile before getting the system functioning, and up and running. Lame... no poor review. You have to download a link that could expire in 3 days to get the app or you lose the opportunity to download it. Luckily, I was very proactive with that because I wanted to make sure I could monitor the panels from my phone. Panels not working fully when I begin to monitor them... offline. Not generating power... we get them functioning again after a couple days... okay. I feel like I'm done with my 3,000 unanswered calls from these guys (specifically unable to be available 99% of the time [manager Rom Rosenblat with Zoetic]). Panels are doing okay for a few weeks... finally! In the BEGINNING of February 2019. Panels begin not to work. They make excuses of snow (obviously I get no solar when they're covered in snow) but we would get a week of sun, snow completely off panels, and still unable to get the job done. Call this guy, call that guy, get the ridiculous run around until more than a month later they finally come check out the place... wow... more than a month I had to wait for them. They come out, leave a note on my door (a phone call would be nice), take down my solar panels and leave them on the side of my house with no date of return or resolution for what the heck is gonna happen. I would usually call (as I have over 100 times) in the past to get this resolved but due to their inability to do a simple job, I have to leave this up for the public to hopefully deter them from making the ginormous mistake of working with this poor excuse of a company. I asked them if there would be anything they can do to "make a customer happy"(some kind of compensation for panels being down for 2 months) since I've been paying my full price utility bill due to solar panels that dont work. They told me they would get back to me... and now i have just been ignored. Do not use Solaroo or Auric Energy. They probably are transferring to a different name/company to avoid a bad rep that they are creating for themselves. They're both trash.. Do not use this company as they do nothing to make their mistakes right. Jordan

Update: Upped the rating to 3 stars. Although the initial install took longer than I would’ve liked, the Solaroo team explained the issues that prevented them from finishing the job within their normal 2-3 day install time. They quickly worked with the utility to get our net meter installed and promised us a gift card for the hassle we had to deal with. Now that it’s all up and running, I hope the experience gets better. Initial review: My solar installation took 21 days with 2 failed inspections...That should help you make your decision before proceeding to sign up with Solaroo. Unsure when, if ever, my solar panels will be functional and live up to the promises we were sold on.

My wife and I had been thinking about solar for a while, and when we finally decided to make the jump, we contacted multiple companies. After many presentations and bids, we decided that Solaroo was the right company for us. The sales process with Solaroo was efficient and honest, and they delivered on their promises. Moreover, our solar system was installed by a courteous, timely, and professional team. The energy efficiency items are working great, and I would like to thank Tad and the entire Solaroo team for a job well done! We really appreciate everything!

We first met with our Zoetic Solar sales rep in early Spring '18. Solaroo finally got everything installed in late summer, but it took them several trips, and there were delays. Then there were delays for final installation and inspection. Then we didn't hear anything for weeks. Finally, when we sought them out for answers, they said I was supposed to sign documents in an email they supposedly sent me weeks ago (that I never received) from Xcel. I finally got it today, and am now told it could still be another month before my converter is installed. If you want efficient and timely delivery of your solar system, go with someone else. My process has taken most of a year, with little explanation as to why, and I'm still waiting.

1 star for service. Product seems to be working ok. We started out our experience with a hard-sell salesman from Zoetic (the person that sold the panels to us). Once the sale was made there was very limited contact. When Solaroo did eventually contact us to set up an assessment/install date, which mind you, took several months and multiple emails and calls from us trying to figure out what was going on, the assessors rescheduled multiple times. My husband stayed home from work on these days due to last minute reschedules (no show one time). When the insulation was finally scheduled and put in our attic (an advertised "perk" of the solar system) the installers left a mess and caused damage to the inside of our home (scraped moldings around doors and walls) that required repainting. They did repaint thank goodness. After that, the solar panels were installed in December without incident. We went many many weeks without any instruction on how to turn on our system. We were told repeatedly that someone would reach out to us to set up the monitoring system, but it took until after the first payment was due, and multiple prompts from us (phonecalls, emails, we can provide all) for someone to finally get on the ball and tell us how to monitor our system. It was utterly ridiculous that we had to make a first payment on our solar system without even knowing that the darn thing was on. We did eventually get reimbursed for that first payment, as they knew it was wrong to take payment for a service not rendered. But, getting that payment was like pulling teeth. It took over 3 weeks for the check to get to us (citing "lost in the mail"). Now that that this is finally resolved and our system is up and running, I wish to let you all know about the poor quality of our customer service experience so that others can avoid this in the future.

My solar installation took 30 days with 5 failed inspections...That should help you make your decision before proceeding to sign up with Solaroo. My solar panels are functional but I never received the access to the App to monitor how much energy I make and how much is used. Still waiting for that. Horrible customer service. Would definitely walk away if I knew it was this company that I was dealing with. Do not use this company to add a second breaker box in your house. It will cost you twice as much. Hire an electrician.

Overall very satisfied with work and process. Jesse and Mackenzie provided great communication and leadership of their crews to finish the work professionally and promptly. Any issues along the way were fixed quickly. Also very satisfied with the business model of selling a whole package that reduced energy waste and thus a smaller solar system overall, instead of just trying to sell larger systems.
