DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR SOLAR INSTALL. I have endured an absolutely terrible 6 month experience. The project is 3 months behind schedule. Multiple lies and missed deadlines. I currently have very nice solar panels on my garage that were never connected to the grid and a dangerous, muddy trench in my yard that has been open for over a month. Complete incompetence and lack of response to approximately 10 messages, emails and phone calls. Update 3/18/20 Still no response from Auric. I suspect they have gone out of business. Please do NOT choose this company!
Chad laid out all of the available options and customized a setup for my house. He was great to work with and tailored everything to my busy schedule. Auric Energy has be awesome!
Working with Auric to get a solar install bid was easy and informative. I was able to do everything I wanted to do over the phone and email. They were not high pressure and were happy to go many rounds of bids to help size the solar system right. They were helpful in explaining how Xcel works and all the ins and outs of the installation. After talking with 10 different companies, Auric was in the top three most competitive bids and their promised timeline for installation was short, While I ended up not moving forward for other reasons, I still had a good experience.
I had a great experience with this company. The Auric team was very friendly and professional. The sales, site, and installation teams all seemed to know what the others were doing, which was nice. They took hours to explain the small details of the fees and costs as well as the metering. Their schedule went a little long, so they paid for some of my electricity during that time to make up for it. They took time to replace a few shingles that they wore down during installation. They did a good job telling me what to expect in terms of load factor adjustment to my electricity bill. Note: If you’re looking for cheap solar, this isn’t it. It is better or best quality. Get a few bids and decide. Also, if you’re going to get a loan for it, be able to pay it off within a few years, otherwise you’ll spend more money on interest than you will save in electricity. I’d definitely work w these guys again or recommend them.
The sale person Cam was great it was the project management side that feel short. Poor communication and got the feeling that "we got paid so who cares" attitude from management. Corporate has yet to reply to anything I asked or brought to their attention. Our system is 2 weeks old and 6 panels are not producing as they should. We're still another week from anyone even looking at it. I went with Auric because of reviews, so not sure what happen in my case. **** follow up. Bailey from customer service did reach out and let me know what is going on. My issues with communication in the review stem from the project Management side not customer service. Customer service has been helpful.
When I started my solar search, I interviewed 10 different companies. Being an engineer, I wanted to cover all my bases and be sure I knew what all my options were before moving forward. I knew the panels I wanted to use from market research, based on performance specifications. Auric was the last company I interviewed and I wish they had been earlier. Immediately upon speaking with them it was clear that they understood what a solar customer as detail oriented as me wants. They use the best software available to really give a customer a highly accurate picture of a PV system potential as part of consultation proposal — far and above any competition. Many companies only brought very rough guesstimates to the initial consultation. After contract signing, the final design was created by the engineering team and it was almost identical to the initial proposal. If you are someone who wants to know what you are buying up front, Auric checks that box. They offered the best panels on the market — the same ones I knew from research that I wanted to have installed. Other companies offered "similar" panels to the ones I mentioned, but in looking at the specs, they were not so similar. As for pricing, Auric beat every other company with their outright initial bid, even before I had shared what the lowest competition was offering. The combination of using the best technology, offering the best equipment, and the best price made going with Auric a no-brainer. During the installation, the crew was extremely knowledgeable and sharp and answered any questions I had. They worked with me to customize the routing of the wiring/conduit and create a seamless installation to the existing structure. All of the crew members were local to the area and the electrician did an excellent job treating poking holes in my house as if it were his own — doing it the "right and best" way. I am now awaiting the utility company to install the net meter and enable the system. Can’t wait to activate it — the process and interactions with Auric I would rate as A- only due to some minor lack of holistic project understanding by the project manager, which has since been noted and remediated.
Our salesman Cam was extremely professional and courteous. However, they decided to eliminate their Residential Division and let everyone go. Unfortunately, they had half our money already. We had the right to break our contract before they had permits pulled so we decided to cancel. I was told my refund check was in the mail 2 weeks ago and still nothing. No one will respond to my emails or voicemails. Their communication has gone to complete garbage since getting rid of their Residential line. I would NOT buy anything from this company. Not even Commercial since that's who is left at that company and they aren't able to respond to a single email or phone call over several weeks and now months.
