Coldstream Solar

I had an east facing 7.2 kW array installed using REC Alpha Pure-RX 450 panels with the Enphase iQ8x micro inverters which does clip just over 6.1 kW (rare that you could get above this, and even more rare that it would be sustained long enough to make a noticeable impact). My best production day so far early Sept was 39.2 kWh, so I assume mid summer perfectly sunny days could be close to 50 kWh. They ran the conduit through the attic so there aren’t any unsightly lines going across the roof. I had a lot of questions from beginning to end of the whole process, spent most of the day outside with them during install to ask more questions, and have asked many questions post install. Everyone from Luke and Evan to the install crew lead by Cliff and Logan were phenomenal at every step. Luke followed up with me a couple weeks after install having already looked in on my system to make sure it was producing like expected. I had conversations with other companies that while they had a longer history of solar installations, their prices and customer service couldn’t touch Coldstream. They are certified installers for Enphase as well, so even if something happens I’m still covered under manufacturer warranties. I can’t recommend Coldstream enough!

We are very happy with our experience! We absolutely appreciated their thoroughness in ensuring we safely had the maximum number of panels possible, which added some time affecting our install, but it’s better to be safe than sorry! Our contact, Luke Sulken, was amazing and did a fantastic job of explaining how the system works when he came out for our initial consultation. Not only that, but he consistently stayed in touch with us through the entire journey. His initiative and follow-through are off-the-charts! He was also very patient with all of our questions and if he didn’t know the answer he would get us in touch with someone who did. He is super nice and friendly, and we enjoyed our (sometimes meandering) conversations very much! We also really appreciated the communication we had with the owner,Jon, so we could complete the wire payment after installation. It was impressive that he was interacting himself and not delegating to someone else on staff. It was a very nice touch! We love supporting smaller businesses, especially family-run ones, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Coldstream or Luke to our families, friends, and neighbors. After filling out an online solar questionnaire about installing solar panels on my house I was contacted by 5 companies. Three never followed up the lead, Coldstream Solar and one other company made proposals. The other company lied three times in their presentation and admitted it. Greg from Coldstream Solar put together a most impressive presentation and reviewed it with me on a Zoom call. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered my every question and educated me on reasons for rightsizing my system. The installation was flawless. Coldstream Solar coordinated everything with my county and electric company for approvals and set up of my net metering. The installers were professional and didn't leave a trace they were even here. The installation only took two and a half days. I highly recommend them, they know exactly what they are doing.

Greg, Evan, Cliff and the team put in quite a bit of work to coordinate a carefully considered solar setup, some home electrical work to get up to code, and a roof install. Having a solar and roofing company under one roof made communication and planning much easier for both projects. I appreciated that everybody was highly responsive with questions and document requests and helped get us set up for net metering, by dealing with the power company and the county.

My husband and I were looking for a way to curb the rising electric bill and we thought solar would be a good option, so we called Luke at Coldstream. We did not know much about solar and found their information through a Google search. We called and made an appointment with Luke. Luke stopped by the house and went over everything that Coldstream offers. He was very thorough and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and even mentioned a few things we had not thought of. The consultation was great. No pressure, just facts. And when we got to the meat and potatoes of the cost, we were blown away. Very affordable. We signed the deal and within a few weeks, (permits take time) we had our panels installed. The crew was fantastic. They worked efficiently and told us everything they were doing and why they were doing it. Our panels were ready to go in half a day. And you could not even tell we had installers there. They cleaned up everything, like they had never even been there. Coldstream is the way to go if you are looking for solar.
