Sunrun Solar

Kudos to the Sunrun team. My home is currently at the City inspection stage, which only took over a month from initial interest interview to install. We chose the lease route mainly given the zero upfront cost, but also the ease of transition into maintenance and potential future home owner change. That said, our journey has been pretty seamless. All due to the assigned Sunrun team. Thank you to Zaid Clark for the patience (non-tech here!) and overall customer service. The installation team came in and completed the job in a day. Yay to Patrick, Jeff and Jesus for the seamless install. Lastly, Sunrun proactively communicates at every stage of the project and makes available information virtually at your finger tips.

We’ve had our solar panels for a few months now and are extremely pleased. The power has gone out 3 times since installation but my wife had no idea because we were not affected. Moe came by frequent to make sure we understood what we were signing up for. Every time he came by, he answered all our questions. Extremely happy customers.

My wife and were honestly skeptical at first about solar and we weren't sure if it would really make sense for our home. However, Dion Rocha from sunrun took the time to clearly explain how everything works and answer all of our questions and I appreciate the patience and professionalism he showed throughout the process of converting our home to solar. I had an incredible experience working with Ro Pereira, my Sun-run solar representative from Santa Cruz. From the very beginning, Ro was professional, patient, knowledgeable and genuinely dedicated to helping me find the best solar solution for my house. She took the time to explain every detail of the process in a way that was clear and easy to understand, making sure I felt comfortable and confident in my final decision. Ro was always responsive to my text, happy to explain any questions I had, and proactively kept me updated throughout each step from the initial consultation to leave after the installation. She’s still in touch with me making sure I’m OK. What stood out most was her honesty and transparency. She wasn’t trying to make a sale. She truly cared about what was best for my home and my house in my energy needs. That kind of person is rare and it was really nice to work with Ro. Thanks to Ro Pereira for going solar was smooth as pie and stress-free. I couldn’t be happier with the service I have been receiving and I highly recommend asking for Ro if you’re considering solar with Sun-run. She’s out of Santa Cruz and she’s the real deal! Update 10/05/2025: I am working some electrical issues out. I called Ro and she responded within 2 hours. She came over today and offered to buy me dinner for the inconvenience I am sorting out. She also helped me call PG&E, and schedule an appointment with Sunrun. She has been here for 3 hours helping me, and cancelled her dinner plans to make sure things were taken care of. I did not expect such good customer service after the fact. But Ro Always responds the same day, and always swings by if I need help understanding my bill. It looks like it was a small issue and Ro actually knew what the issue was. My power is on in my kitchen! Thank you Sunrun and Ro Pereira for so much excellent customer service!

Beware Before Purchasing Solar from Sunrun ⚠️ All the negative reviews I’ve read about Sunrun’s post-installation service have proven true. I have never experienced such horrible customer service before from any company. Here’s my story: • My system was installed a year ago. • A month ago, my Tesla battery stopped working. • I called Sunrun immediately, followed all their troubleshooting steps, multiple times and confirmed that the system had failed. Sunrun said they needed to monitor my battery from their end. • After weeks of no follow-up, I called again — only to be told the same thing I already knew-the Tesla battery had stopped working. • The soonest technician appointment they offered me? Six weeks after my initial report. Meanwhile, I have no solar power and I’m still required to pay for a system that doesn’t work — with no credit or compensation offered. I was told that if I stopped my autopay from my bank, the warranty and Sunrun contract would be nullified and made void. The bottom line: Sunrun has failed to deliver on its promises. Their customer service is unresponsive, their repair timelines are unacceptable, and they take money for a system that they won’t fix in a timely manner. If you’re considering solar with Sunrun, I urge you to look elsewhere. Don’t make the mistake I did.

I’m Very grateful that Raul and his crew showed up to my door promoting SunRun Solar to power my house. They were very professional and answered all my questions. The process was very simple and easy. Raul coordinated mostly everything and guided me through it all. In a few weeks they were already installing the panels and batteries. It passed inspection and soon it was done powering my house at an affordable rate. Highly recommended to use SunRun Solar.

Josue Sanchez was our sales consultant. Prior to installation he walked us through the process and was available to answer any questions we had. A year later and he is still available to answer any questions we have. We are very happy with our solar system and the customer service we’ve had.
