We hired VLS Electrical to do a job. We stressed that we needed to keep costs down. He stated he understood and gave us a quote of $1,200 to $1,500, stating $1,500 would be the max. He scheduled a day to do the work but canceled due to an employee not being able to join him. He rescheduled for the following day. I was fine with that. The issue comes into play when he finished the job and stated we owe him $2,200. That is $700 more than what he told us the max would be. The work seems to be fine, however, I would not recommend him unless you have bottomless pockets. I am in shock that he did not even give us a heads up or common courtesy, he would be charging more. If he had, we could have at least made a decision whether or not we wanted to proceed. He didn’t give us a choice. This isn’t what good business people do.
Concerning the work at 2011 N 51st ct Ft Pierce Fl 34947. Not questioning Victors work, however his response to my wife’s negative review needs to be addressed. We would have done it on her original review, but she has been blocked. He based his original estimate of $500 off an inspection report. He found it was going to take more. Fair enough. It started with moving outlets up to connect short cut ground wires. The estimate was $1,200 to $1,500. We said ok. It then became there are no ground wires so we need to pull wires through the attic. What was stated by Victor was that this would be less cutting into walls, so the cost should be the same. Victor went to the house on 3 different occasions, not three full work days. He accessed the job one day, did some work on day 2, and did the job on day 3. Victor contacted me and I contacted him several times. Now I’m not nor have I ever been an electrician, so I do not know how they bill. As far as we knew and the last thing we heard was $1,200 to $1,500. When it was done the bill was $2,200. At no time had Victor explained it will be an additional $700. He told us the first time the cost increase from $500 to $1,200 - $1,500, so why not the second increase? Our expectation is to be told cost." More time" does not tell us how much dollars. We had the septic done on the same property and the price changed twice. We were told before each increased and asked what we wanted to do. This is the expectation. We should not be left to figure out for ourselves what more time meant.
Victor was very easy to work with. Before doing a service call, he made some recommendations on things to check to save me the cost of a service call. It turned it I did need his help and he came out and fixed my broken outlet.
Victor and his team are without a doubt the best in the business! I wanted to have my portable generator hooked up to my electrical panel. I found VSL ELECTRICAL and spoke to Victor. After answering his questions about my project he gave me a price that was more than reasonable. Now comes the good part. He is a reputable electrician with a varifiable license who came to my home to make sure everything would work as discussed. Then he included the permit to the city at no charge, filed all the paperwork and committed to the price he quoted me over the phone. He gave me an appointment, showed up on time and completed the installation to my complete satisfaction!! If you need any type of electrical work call VSL ELECTRICAL and you will see what it’s like to deal with a reputable contractor who is more interested in creating long lasting relationships than just making a buck!!!
These guys are great! They came out and gave me an awesome price on wiring my tiki bar and doing some repairs on my house. Very professional, hard working, and honest. I highly recommend them to anyone.
When I tried several electricians and not one could figure out the problem I was having, I called VLS. They came right out and knew right away what was wrong. I know from now on who I'll be calling when I'm in need of an electrician. Victor was a professional. I can't say enough good about VLS!! Thank you Victor!
Can’t recommend Vic and his team enough. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. They work fast and clean. They fixed and move a light fixture in my house and I am so happy with their work. You will not go wrong with them
