First off i want to say why is the website not with the company but the reviews are still for the company standard eco? Are they hiding from all of the bad reviews? Did they go out of business without letting anyone know? Second they refused to fix panels that were down after 2 months of use because it took them a year or so to even get back to me stating that it was no longer in their workmanship warranty. I had to contact solaredge directly to figure out i needed new optimizers which standard eco said i would have to pay $500 just to send someone out to look at them. I finally hired a local company to do the job after a few years of searching. The new company found that my system was completely wired wrong and if i would have left it the way it was then it would have caused a fire. Not only that but overloaded 7 more panels and had to wait over a month for parts to come in to get fixed resulting in decrease of piwer coming in from my system. Damages to my roof and no proper mounting for conduits and missing end clamps not to mention a few other "workmanship" issues. On top of that (found out in aug 2025) my city inspector took them to court for performing electrical work without registration. Criminal to say the least. They refuse to answer calls/texts/emails and the numbers i have found have all been disconnected. They have yet to answer the bbb, attorney general or illinois shines either. So all in all, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and run.

Update: WV Contractor Licensing Board has confirmed that Eco Standard is NOT a licensed contractor in the state of WV. We are posting this review to share a serious and ongoing issue involving Eco Standard Solar. Although our contract was with a general contractor (unrelated to Standard Eco), and we paid that contractor in full for a complete solar and battery installation, we have since been repeatedly harassed by Eco Standard Solar’s CEO demanding payment directly from us. Eco Standard Solar was never hired by us and had no contractual relationship with our company. Their dispute appears to stem from nonpayment further down the subcontracting chain, caused by the bankruptcy of another subcontractor. We sympathize with businesses affected by nonpayment, but it is not our legal responsibility to cover debts we already paid through the proper contractual channels. Despite this, the CEO has continued to pressure us for payment and has been involved in or coordinated public online defamation, including reviews falsely accusing us of deceptive business practices and threatening legal action. These tactics are not only inappropriate—they are misleading. We strongly caution others considering working with Eco Standard Solar to ensure clear contractual boundaries, payment responsibility, and conduct expectations—particularly if the company is working as a subcontractor. Our experience has been unprofessional, hostile, and frankly, aggressive, despite our having fully paid the responsible party. We are in the process of addressing these false claims and legal overreach and will pursue all appropriate remedies to defend our business reputation.

They will never return your calls or emails. The worst decision I have ever made in the sense of being a homeowner was inviting their salesman into my home to pitch me the idea of having solar pannels on my roof.

Worst solar company that I have done business with. Their phone numbers don’t work, the previous numbers that we used are no longer in service. We are paying for a system that doesn’t work. The one time that we got in touch with someone, she hung up on us and blocked my number. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!

This is an awful company. They never return your call. We had to get BBB involved twice but still no result. We spent around 40k for a system that was damaged during installation. They promised to replace the damaged panels but then the installers never returned. After 4 years, the system stopped working all together and we have spent 3 months trying to get this taken care of. The sales people lie to you about the warranty just to get you to buy the product. The money you save on your electric bill is minimal to the cost of the system. Stay away from this company. They are liars all the way through.

HORRIBLE Company! If I could give a negative star review, I would! They will not return calls, emails or text message. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different installer!

Absolute garbage company. Installed a 40kw system for my business and after finally passing inspection after more than a year of them fumbling the project, PGE goes to connect and they ordered and installed the wrong micro-inverters. Another year later no resolution with false promises every-time you can get someone on the phone (good luck). Elijah, Laura, Maureen - all trash. Avoid this company altogether or retain your attorney ahead of time because these guys are the definition of shoddy contractors.
