HOME DEPOT DOESN'T LIKE PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS. I am extremely disappointed in Home Depot. I've been to this location twice, trying to get a job. I understand that I'm in a wheelchair, but I am extremely active and independent. I have about 10 construction certifications, a level 2 electric apprentice and even OSHA 10 certified. Im extremely disheartened by Home Depots actions. They gave an older person the job whom has no experience with building materials, just like mostly everyone who works there. I have yet to find an associate with any knowledge to any building trade. They don't even know anything about their own department. I made it a point to please ask them to not judge me for being in a wheelchair. She assured me that she wasn't, then started to tell me that if I don't hear anything by Wednesday that I wasn't picked. I would have no problem accepting this, but when you see they hired an absolute unqualified associate. It makes you really wonder why you weren't chosen. The first interview I was told that I wouldn't be able to do the job without help. I assured her that I could easily do the job and probably quicker than most people. She started trying to discourage me from wanting the job. I started to think about if I've ever seen someone in a wheelchair actually working at Home Depot. I'm more than qualified for the position, but to me it seems obvious that they really don't want me around there building, because I'm in a wheelchair. I can't stand people or places that treat people like that. I was a long time customer, I will be canceling my Home Depot credit card and I will be a loyal Lowe's customer. I WILL TELL EVERYONE AND ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN. HOME DEPOT IS DISCRIMINATING AGAINST PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS.

Shane in the paint department was amazing. We had a large job for him checkingnold.paints, remixing, matching and making new colors, while also picking out the correct sheets. He was extremely patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. We always use Behr Premium plus paints. They are the best.

I bought a few parts I needed for a home project I have going on and had a few questions about a couple of things I wanted to do. Pete at the Pro desk answered all of my questions thoroughly and now I feel confident in completing my project. He is very knowledgeable about construction, didn't make me feel like I was being rushed, and genuinely seemed like he cared that I had everything I needed to do the best job possible. Thank you for the very positive shopping experience.

My husband wanted me to go with him to pick out some things for a bathroom. I have no idea why. But he wanted me to pick out the faucets. They have a very large selection of faucets with different finishes. Different colors. Different accessories. Different ways of mounting the faucet. It's a lot. I would recommend looking at it on the website before you go down. Because I was almost unable to pick out anything due to all of the different options I had. Their bathrooms are always clean. The store is clean. We were easily able to find somebody to help us and he went and got the part while we were finishing getting the part we needed on the aisle we were in when we found him. Excellent store. Super nice people. Little warm in there in the middle of the summer.

Rene and Rose were great, but my order was transferred to the Irvington store, which then moved the delivery date from Saturday to Monday. The only compensation offered was a refund of the delivery fee for the inconvenience—no email, no phone call, nothing. When I called to ask why this happened, I was told it’s their policy to transfer orders to the closest store. I strongly dislike the Irvington store because of their consistently poor customer service. No one contacted me to inform me of the change. I drove all night to make sure I was home for the delivery, only to discover it had been pushed to Monday. Out of frustration, I canceled the entire order. I will never do business with Home Depot again. This keeps happening, and nothing ever gets resolved. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers; they only care about profits. Their customer service is completely unacceptable.

We have had a few bad experiences trying to get some custom paints. I have been ignored by an older white man, me thinks because I am Mexican. Before you scream at me, I was standing in line behind this woman. After he finished with her, he walked away, picked up a clipboard, and just played with it, never acknowledging my presence. It’s hard to miss a rather large, fat man like myself. So, I decided to wait about 10 minutes and say, "Hey!, hello." Still being ignored. When another worker bee came up, I asked her to call a manager and explained what happened. Well, as you can expect, the manager called and spoke to the old man, and he said no such thing happened. So, I went to the customer service desk and asked to speak to a manager. One came up, and I explained what happened. She apologized and said she would help me with my large order. I told her no; at this point, I would just go to Lowe’s. I was repainting the entire house to sell it. It was two months before I went back to Home Depot. I needed some more paint and a scratch for Husky tools. I went to the paint department and was helped by a nice young man named Ryan. He was very helpful in picking out the correct paint I needed for my job. This great employee has restored my faith in this store. If he’s not working, I just avoid buying my supplies. He is a valuable asset to this location and should be recognized as such. I see up front there is a cashier of the month, is there an Employee of the Month? If so, nominate Ryan in the paint department for this. On another note, I had my semi-new (9 month old) Maytag washer stop working. I tried to contact the warranty department only to find out it had been switched to Allstate. Allstate was no help after many calls, emails, and even sending video evidence of my washer not working. I decided to stop into the store and spoke with Keri Thompson. She went above and beyond helping me with my washer replacement. I can’t stress enough how much of a help she was. Buying a new washer and dryer, you’d think it would last longer than 9 months. After two months of struggles, I finally got a replacement washer with the help of Keri. Thank you so much!
