Although I don’t have much of a green thumb, I have a deep sense of appreciation for local businesses that care for their neighbors. I stopped in to the garden plot on a whim on a mission to find free seeds to include in a gift bag for a nonprofit organization that I am working for that is fighting to address food insecurity in Hybla Valley. I was able to speak with a wonderful woman who gave me not only some seeds, but a bag FULL of assorted fruit and vegetable seeds to pass along to the neighbors we. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS and I did catch a really gorgeous assortment of plants and all the supplies you could ever need!!
9NOV.2024 Great visit here and the owners a very nice. Great property and well kept. Enjoy how organized this place. Check out the live chickens in the far back of the property.
I love this place. They're really knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. They have all sorts of things a gardener needs-- soil, pots, plants, tools, and more plants. I'm a big fan of their statuary collection, too. Be prepared to be greeted by the resident mousers. They carry lots of natives at reasonable prices. Their carnivorous section is a lot of fun.
Love this place. We have gotten multiple trees over the years, seeds, perennials, annuals, pots etc. we’ve always found there plants to be of a much higher quality than the big brand spots. Sometimes I visit just to walk around! Bonus when the Caffeine Machine coffee truck is on site!
We shopped here for the first time just a bit ago and loved it! Great selection on flowers, plants & all types of gardening accessories. It’s truly a one stop shop. A huge plus for us is that it is also dog friendly. Our girl loved smelling the flowers and everyone was so nice. We will be back!
Oh this post saddens me to write but I cannot believe how bad The Garden Plot has turned into. When it was Holly, Woods & Vines it was the most amazing garden center but now they have no staff and there is an English guy managing that is extremely rude and doesn't know much about plants. I guess Nalls will get business going forward.
Excellent selection of indoor plants, many rare wishlist variegated plants available. The plants here are thriving and priced much cheaper than other local nursery. I pass this gem daily on rte one, thankful it's right in my backyard in Alexandria. Had a sale on all on tropical plants this visit. Great plant nursery.
