Wild Horse Wind & Solar Facility

I finally had the opportunity to visit this facility last weekend. I was very impressed with the visitor center. Tours are available with no reservations at 10am and 2pm Monday thru Friday, seasonally. The visitors center includes a conference room offering special events such as educational classes about the surrounding natural environment, star gazing opportunities, special hunting reservations, fun runs and family hikes. What a gem of a facility highlighting the importance and usefulness of capturing wind energy. A must visit for those travelers passing through the area.

It's a beautiful drive from the start till the end. There's a visitor centre, you can get a whole 360 degree view! Beautiful. I drove from Seattle. The I90 route from seattle to ellensburg is amazing.

Excellent place to visit! Wind turbines are ridiculously fascinating and HUGE. Pretty and informative visitor center, even had activities for kids.

It was a beautiful drive type of day. So, I decided to visit this facility. I loved the view; it was breath taking. The windmills were so neat.

There is a great visitor center with an amazing view!! I travel here at least once a year for the stunning views and awesome adventures me and my family have.

What an amazing gem! Definitely sign up for the tour. We got to the see the insides of the turbine, learned bit more about the wind farms etc. I’d definitely come back and perhaps in the evening to see the night skies. Very windy!
