This place was one of my favorite areas to explore during low tide. I could sit for hours looking at all the life among the rocks. I bought a couple books on the tide pools locally and a reference card from the local aquarium to identify what I found. I saw bull kelp, various anemones, a few types of crab and various sponges .. very cool! The flowers were in bloom as well and it was always different depending on tide libels and time of day.
. I enjoyed it. I saw lots of sea creatures. I love exploring the ocean. Its some of my favorite memories. Thanks for respecting that. The beach is what you expect from a natural oceanic ecosystem. Lovely and great place to truly experience the ocean. Kelp lined the sandy beaches washed up after detaching from its sea floor home. The tide pools is located near the deep canyon that lies beneath the oceans deep waters full of life and mystery. Exploring the sea creatures making home among the rocks and small pools created by the meditative waves rolling in and out include seastars, hermit crabs, crabs, anename..
Really cool for a guy from Arizona to explore. Lots of seaweed which is actually cool. Starfish, crabs, little sea anemones and small fish in the pools of water next to ricks covered in shells and limpets. Parking is limited and it was cold and windy when I was there in late May.
Check the tide report before going. Very clean and a ton to see! Especially if you like hermit crabs. Parking is close to the tide pool. I didnt see any restrooms. Wear the right shoes some of the rocks are slippery. The coastal drive to get there is just an added bonus
This was a fun place to look for sea creatures in an amazing tide pool. You do have to be careful about walking on the rocks!
Large tide pool! Many, many, many anemones, hermit crabs, snails and seaweed! Make time to go here at low tide and sunset!
This is a beautiful spot. My teenage daughter and her friends had a great time. There are lots of tide pools, but they are hard to get to. You have to climb over a lot of rocks. If you do it, wear good sandals to protect your feet and go slow.
