It was a pleasure partnering with Firehouse and their contractors in remediation of roof, chimney and gutter damage from our neighbor’s fallen tree. Communication was timely, repairs were completed in an appropriately expected timeframe. Issues were addressed and resolved within a reasonable period. Customer service was great and all members of the team were polite and professional. Hopefully we won’t require any services soon but will definitely be our first call.
Firehouse Roofing did a nice job of working with my insurance company and their inspector to make sure they understood the damage that had been done to my roof. They also did a nice job of communicating during the project phases. The problem now is that for the same scope of work that was discussed in the beginning I'm being charged more than what was originally agreed upon and Firehouse is refusing to correct errors to complete the project. I received an additional invoice for $2,100 for work that was already discussed in the scope of work at the very beginning. I was told a change order had to be issued for the work that the siding contractor was doing but that I would be credited this amount since this was already accounted for in the original scope of work. Now they are saying the $2,100 is owed. Also, the chimney cap that was installed on the house is not the color that was originally selected. Ash gray was selected and you can clearly see from the photos and color samples that this is not what was installed. I’m told it can’t be painted and I would have to pay to have it replaced. The chimney was perfectly straight before the work was done, now the chimney is bowed and crooked on the left side at the back of the house. I’m being told there is a piece of framing that was discovered to be bowed however rather than correct it, they continued with doing the siding and wood work over the bowed framing resulting in a bowed chimney. They are saying I would have pay to have their shoddy work corrected. I consulted with two other roof contractors and each said this should have been corrected at the time of repair and that if left unrepaired will eventually lead to the siding placed where the bowed framing is to come apart and fail and that water will easily penetrate that area. Further, Firehouse replaced two boards at each side of my garage, however they did not reinstall the metal flashing that was installed at the base of each board which will lead to water and pest penetration. They refuse to reinstall the flashing. All I am asking is to pay the amount that was originally agreed upon for the work that was done and to have the mistakes that were made corrected and nothing further. This could have easily been a fantastic experience, but unfortunately not following through on work and overcharging has tainted the entire experience. Hopefully Firehouse will make this right.
Firehouse Roofing was great to work with. They did some roof repairs, replaced the flashing around my fireplace, and replaced some siding. The estimate process was super transparent, and I loved all the pictures and videos they provided to show me the issues. They got me on the schedule in less than a week, and they completed the repairs quickly. Everything looks great, and they did an awesome job cleaning up. I highly recommend.
Roof replacement from hail damage. Great to work with! They worked well with my insurance (state farm). They handled removing and re-attaching solar panels. The roof was a definite upgrade, better underlayment, ice and water shield, level 3 shingle (from old builder grade). The roof looks great, very flat and lined up. I had some issues with the solar panels and they were all addressed quickly. Quality outfit.
I had an excellent experience with Fire House Roofing. Christian kept me informed throughout the entire process, making sure I understood each step along the way. They handled negotiations with my insurance multiple times to ensure I received the correct replacements, which was a huge help. Their clean-up after the job was outstanding — they left everything spotless. They were quick to respond and always professional whenever I had a question. I honestly don’t have a single complaint. From now on, I won’t go with anyone else for roofing work. Highly recommended!
Firehouse pointed out, with photos, several areas on my 10-yr-old flat roof that needed repairs. The work was completed in one day, with very satisfactory "after" pictures, and the price was reasonable. I hope I have no further roof issues, but would not hesitate to call if any occur.
We had racoon damage to several parts of our roof leading to the attic as well as a pesky woodpecker that all but destroyed our chimney. Our overall experience was great. Andrew was very kind and thorough in our initial consultation. He was also very responsive when I had questions. The work was done in 2 projects: wood work and attic. The wood work was done well but what was supposed to be 1-2 days took 4. The contractors they brought in were 2 hours later than anticipated each day and were not the best at communicating their time frames. This was the sole reason for not giving 5 stars. They did good work though. The team from five points home services were amazing. They removed old insulation, sanitized and re-insulated within 8 hours and brought me up to view their progress as well as a final look together before leaving. They even sent an album of pictures and video of their process. I would definitely recommend firehouse roofing in the future and have already to family and friends.
