Did an order of BIG deck boards and other random items. The team working the desk was great - very nice, helped me swap out a few boards, and even met me at my car with the last of the order. Made a long day easier. Thank you!!

Online orders shouldn’t be this much of a hassle, but here we are in 2025: Home Depot partners with Roadie, a sort of DoorDash for random stuff, and you couldn’t design a more inefficient delivery system if you tried. I bought 8 items in one order, and all but one were to be delivered on the same day due to availability. They came on three different days, seven different deliveries (each a new driver). In total I received 37 text messages—in addition to email updates—from seven separate numbers, so I have these seven distinct conversations in my Messages app. It’s quite unnecessary when they’re literally dropping items on my porch. Items were split up that had no business being apart. I bought buckets, and I bought lids; they arrived separately and hours apart! These were all simple items, all in stock at Alexandria according to the website*. It’s not like they had to source them from far away. They could do better at consolidating orders before they go to a Roadie, I’m sure it would save them a ton of money. But it would also be a more pleasant experience for me to just get one or two deliveries and just the two emails: your order is on the way, and your order was dropped off. * I chose delivery this time because I’ve been duped by online stock counts before: it says they have 5 available at that location, but I show up and they’re out of stock. So I had little faith that an order placed for pickup would be successful. I’d bet I would get an email saying it’s ready and when I show up it would be delayed or incomplete.

A great Home Depot location that is well-stocked with all your home improvement needs for a competitive price. They sell a wide variety of Milwaukee Tool brand tools which are top quality. They offer plumbing, gardening, moving, painting, and building products. They have a great lumber selection. I've gotten everything from shovels to metal washers. They always have what I need. They have a large free parking lot and the staff are consistently friendly to customers.

This is my main Home Depot I go to the Northern Virginia area. It usually has any home improvement or household item that I need for my place. My only issue is sometimes the staff is busy handling other customers questions to answer my personal question. Definitely one of top stores in the area in my opinion. I would recommend you come experience this store yourself.

I recently stopped by this location thirty minutes before close completely clueless to my plumbing needs. The associate "Mo", short for Mohammed assisted me with knowledge and a smile. He walked me directly to the necessary products, advised how to apply them, and was extremely helpful. I’ve been to this location several times recently and all staff I’ve encountered are truly customer service oriented. Keep it up Pickett location!

I had an amazing experience with an employee by the name of Gerardo at the S. Pickett location. He was the sweetest person ever. He was very helpful not just for one day, multiple days that I went back so that I can do a DIY picture frame for a very large picture that I have and he was super helpful with everything. He cut wood for me. He did the measurements for everything I am so grateful for him that I even bought him a gift card to Starbucks absolutely love him.

This is to home depot in general. Worst experience with ordering delivery. Will never order from you again. Also, the supervisor Otto is a lier. I'll go to best buy from now on for all my new house appliances.
