This property needs to be condemned and property owners fined for being such slumlords. Avoid this place at all cost, but when you see how run down it is you will see exactly what I mean.It’s ridiculous how they don’t care about the residents only money. Look below and see for yourself. Some of the residents have made comments about black mold, water leaks, property grounds not being maintained,tennis court has grass growing throughout the concrete. I’m not trying to smear this property’s reputation, but simply trying to let the community know my concerns and opinions. It’s my personal review and no one else’s. As a property developer, you have to care about your tenants and not just your tenant’s wallets. Birchwood please do better, you have the opportunity to turn this review around. Your tenants pick your property to call their homes, so show them you appreciate them by fixing up your property and making this place safer. Be a better part of Montgomery. Be a positive part of this great city, we call Montgomery, that Mayor Reed needs us to be.

I don't understand why this place is so rundown and the lack of initiative from the staff(maintenance, and management). Talking to the corporate division is like hard because they don't want the residents to know how they are to complain about the conditions. The city will have to get involved with this matter, which is happening soon. I pray that the residents get the proper mind to leave. I have reached out to the management at birchwood but no one has called nor emailed yet. Our next move will be to the Mayor and other authorities to help with complaints. They threaten to evict residents if they complain, how fair is that.

The buildings are completely INFESTED with roaches and gnats and mold. There is absolutely NO concern from the office managment for health and safety for the tenants living here. Work orders do not get fully completed but they mark them complete with no further work being done. You have to literally wait outside just to see someone who is actually capable of helping with an issue because the one person in there cant give any information but can take money orders for payments. It is in a great area but the property is going completely down trash everywhere and the grass was not cut for three months of me staying here several tenants had to complain before it was done. Please get people over this property who actually care about the people living here and who can properly address and fix these issues.

I have been staying here for almost three years. First they a terrible about fixing your apartment. When I first move in they promise to paint the apartment and fix the counter top in the kitchen and bathrooms but that never happen. I have a leak for almost a year they did a patch job but didn't last but a few months. Another hard rain came, I am awaken by water coming through my ceiling. Call them again, sent someone a few week later and another patch job. Another rain came and the process happen again and finally they got it fix. Now the ceiling is mess up with water stains in the ceiling, it took another few months to get it painted. I was half done, so I called the office and ask the manager to come down here to see all my complaints and they got someone out the next day and repainted the ceiling. On the stairs, nails were coming out of the carpet, air keep going out, and water from it keep messing up the carpet and this happen a least four time. Whole were in the wall where someone had hung picture on the wall. So the apartment managers had change at least four time since my stay here. Noise is terrible, you can hear children running up and down the stair, you can hear other in another apartment in bathroom and bedroom. I have seen them put people stuff out on the outside and other people get it. They charge a $100.00 late fee after the 5th of the month and and not paid soon after that they will start eviction process again you. Still today, they have not fix anything, the heater in the bathroom is not working and they refuse to fix it.This is the worst place I ever stay it and the worst manager. There was one manger from a different company were good, they did fix the roof before they sold it to someone else. The criminal level is getting higher here also. They have updated some apartments but my apartment continue to be over look and yes I am tired of asking them to fix it.

The upkeep of these apartments isn't very good. The onsite management is hard to reach by phone or email and is usually unresponsive to left messages. They have a situation with the mail where it's not delivered to the on-site mailboxes. If you're lucky and have a vehicle, it's a minimum of 15 minutes to ride each way to get to the serving post office. Shop around before selecting these apartments.

Do not rent here!!!! They are charging $100 "administrative fee." Then they say credit has to be "500 something." No a defined credit score for approval. Then there’s a "second chance" that approves you immediately, with another round of added fees, whatever they want to charge you. Not only that, there’s a charge by the apartment complex. Fraudulent, and predatory. Taking advantage of lower income people that are in a tight situation for housing. Report them to the Housing Authority and the BBB. They are a fraudulent company!!!!

One star I could’ve give them good rating stars, but shortly after my husband’s passing, and I was able to break the lease due to this, and ended up in hospital few days after, while in there, they proceed to evict me which I never received any notice from them, on month of my husband’s passing, it was only time I missed payment and had no way to get hold of them or able to pay following month rent while in hospital, they won by default and wanted me to pay missed rent, late fees and court costs. Moreover, today they are at my apt to get all of my belongings to set outside for all residents to see, or possible to take, this includes powered wheelchair, business items. They did this to a poor widowed disabled woman helpless in doing anything about it while in hospital all because of their greediness. Didn’t have empathy for my loss of my husband.
