IKEA Philadelphia offers a familiar, well-structured retail environment, providing a broad selection of furniture and home goods. Customers will find a range of options, though availability can occasionally fluctuate. The store prioritizes a consistent experience, and often features a food area offering simple meals.
A key aspect is the store's convenient location with ample parking. While the food offerings are dependable, expansion of the menu, especially plant-based alternatives, would enhance the overall appeal. The organized layout provides a generally pleasant browsing experience.

Our decision to stop by here was primarily to sample the vegan hotdog located downstairs near the checkout area. Unfortunately, as always, the establishment was closed. It remains unclear to us whether this hotdog stand is a separate entity or not. The explanation we received was that they are understaffed and primarily open on weekends. Despite this, we couldn't help but wonder why they don't offer the vegan hotdog upstairs. Ikea used to be a delightful place to visit for us; we have been coming to this location since its inception many years ago, often bringing our children along. There used to be a play area for them while we explored the maze of home displays. Towards the end of our visit, we would always grab a bite to eat. However, we can't deny that the food offerings, while consistent, are in dire need of an update in terms of variety. The plant-based meatballs are undeniably delicious, but the absence of a plant-based sauce was disappointing. Perhaps there are some options that we missed today. Why, for example, do they offer mashed potatoes with meat meatballs when everyone could have enjoyed a vegan alternative? It would be a simple swap to use oat milk and vegan butter. Despite understanding the need for a centralized food operation for consistency, it seems like there are very limited vegetable options available. A vegetable medley is one of the simplest dishes to prepare, so its absence is surprising. I ultimately opted for the plant-based meatballs with fries and peas. Unfortunately, the peas were lukewarm, but the fries were satisfactory. The meatballs were decent but would have greatly benefited from a sauce, forcing us to resort to using ketchup as a substitute. On a positive note, the cranberry jelly was quite enjoyable.
Good food, good selection, prices vary but some good deals for sure. Even if you don’t buy anything it is fun to walk around and explore what they have. A few things are out of stock but it is organized well. I just wish more of the items in display had price tags.
This is the closest Ikea to South Jersey and is in a good location with ample parking. The store has a typical layout and we were able to go to the dining area which was not very crowded. The meals were typical of an Ikea the only problem is that they did not have any cups when we were there which seems weird. We were able to find the most of the items we needed in stock and even on a week and it wasn't so crowded where you felt uncomfortable walking through. I did not order in store and ended up ordering online for delivery.
First time going and WOW! It was better than expected... The prices are great especially during these high inflation times... Only thing I was disappointed in was the cafe was closed so I didn't get to sample the famous swedish meatballs... They have a great selection of frozen and take home gourmet items... If you haven't been you should...I will definitely be going back.. Of and a shout out to the 3 young ladies at the check out who were very helpful and didn't mind all my silly questions...I wish I would have gotten their names...IKEA if you read this I was there on 11/13/25 from 11am run about 12pm so try to recognize the staff.. Again I apologize for not getting their names I wish I would've thought of it. I wasn't expecting to write a review... Any way thanks IKEA... I'll be back!!
This was our first time having breakfast at Ikea after COVID. We ordered the "Medium Breakfast" and "Small Breakfast' but what we got is the baby portions. Maybe because we're Asian, we received this disrespectful treatment, while in front of us, Black families received generous portions from the Black server. I thought we were in the civilized America where skin color doesn’t matter, or is there a new hierarchy now with Asians placed at the lower level minorities and discrimination still rampant?
Food review: This is not a furniture review. Came here with my gf on a Saturday. She raved about their cafeteria style food options. I finally got to tag along. First off, you get amazing views of the pier. A huge titanic ship sits in the foreground. It’s ginormous. As I looked up at the menu photos, I was somewhat disappointed in the options. However, the place was packed with families and to be honest, I was feeling a little greedy and told my lady, what the heck let’s order something. She ordered the lemon cod, and I ordered the pull pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. The sandwich wasn’t bad, (I will let you know how my stomach handles it later) however the Mac and cheese was bland. I probably won’t eat here again, but it was nice to try it.
Great place to eat and get homeschooling supplies.
