U-Haul Storage of Rainier Valley

This place is awesome! And the employees are great! Don't know his name, but the guy with the dreads I talked to on the phone and made a reservation & it was over the 3day holiday weekend. The parking lot was virtually empty when I got there and the people who were supposed to return the van was renting did not return on Time. So he searched all the areas close by and was able to get one at a different location for me nearby and gave me a $50 credit for not being able to honor the rental at his location. It was also great when I called to extend my rental & were great on the phone! Love these guys will do business with them again!

Mikhaela runs a sweet crew- they all communicate and you can tell they have each other's backs. It was an efficient check out and return. It's nice to see such work ethic and customer service- this location is difficult geographically and the crew offsets it with great teamwork

We dropped off a one-way U-Haul rental at this location after being a bit nervous, our truck had been hit by an 18-wheeler and sustained some damage. Parking was a bit tricky, but we managed. There was a line inside, but it moved fairly quickly. The young lady who helped us was fantastic. She walked us through the claims process and reassured us right away. Thankfully, we had SafeMove insurance, so we didn’t have any out-of-pocket costs. She carefully documented the damage, explained the next steps clearly, and even gave us local recommendations since we had just moved to the area. We were impressed enough to come back and rent another truck to pick up some furniture, and the service was just as good the second time around. Great team and smooth experience overall!

My wife and I made a reservation at this location for a cargo van for 6:30pm on a Tuesday — yesterday, in fact. We did receive an email and a text confirming the reservation, and it was simple to log in to the U-Haul website to look over the reservation. When my husband arrived at the place (about ten or fifteen minutes early), he was told that they had no record of the reservation, because all of their vehicles had been reserved by a catering company (the lot was over half full of various vehicles, including cargo vans). He was told that he should have gotten an email or text either canceling or relocating his pickup location. We got no email, no text, no phone call for cancellation, and we’re still able to log in to the website today and see our reservation. Suffice to say, we’re livid, because we got utterly screwed while moving out of our apartment. Because of the late hour, we couldn’t even get friends to help us and we had to put all our things out on the sidewalk (legally we had to be out by midnight) and sit with them, awake all night, until rental places opened the next morning. Rainier Avenue U-Haul can suck it.

Easy as can be, I highly recommend, professional experience. The checkout process was one of the easiest and most seamless rental pickup I’ve had in a long time. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I want to give special credit to LeMarco V - he was incredibly helpful and I really appreciated his assistance.

I don't see any way they could improve the service, I had a great experience. Filled out all the information online before going to the Rental Center, so pickup was super fast. Reading some of these 1-star reviews, apparently some people have waited a long time in line because they want to do everything at the store, such as the input of driver's license data, etc. The staff was really helpful, and they have a lot of supplies on hand if you need anything. This location has a large variety of trucks and trailers available. The truck I got was clean and modern. I liked that it had Apple Carplay / Android Auto built in, you just use Bluetooth to connect.

Took 40 minutes to pick up a uhaul that was reserved online. Which is cumbersome because we had reserved movers who are paid by the hour. The place is heavily unorganized. And they’re renting out equipment that they do not have. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra 5 minutes to another uhaul location.
