U-Haul Moving & Storage of Woodside

The people that run the trailer and truck rental place are real nice. One guy literally gave me a trailer wiring extension cord so I could splice together a super long extension cord because my dumbass trailer connector was all the way up under the dash. And the girl at the front desk had some funny jokes too. Had a good time there, nice folks for sure. Fun.

Mr. Khan was great!! Super friendly and helpful. He made sure the hitch on my vehicle was ready to go for my trip last night, and attached the final touches within a few minutes. The young man that working inside this morning (didn’t catch his name) was also very friendly!

I just cleaned my storage unit out after 4 years of living out of state. I was so stressed prior to but oh my gosh it was so easy. HUGE thank you to Shay-ee-lah (not sure on the spelling) she was working the front desk and was just so lovely. She really helped me out and saved me!! Thank you to the guys who helped check in my Uhaul van after use. I appreciated it. Also, for anyone wanting to use their storage facility - DO IT. After 4 years everything was just as I left it. No dust, barely any signs of expiration on some of the things I thought I’d get to sooner.

I was looking forward to filling out the survey I was sent via email, but it asked only one question "what did you like about your experience?" So I'm left to leave a review here. I've used this location in the past maybe 5 or 7 years ago and I've had no problems, it was easy and quick. Not sure what's happened since then, but the customer service is abysmal. I have no idea who hurt these people. You walk in and you're treated like you personally did something to them. I couldn't believe how rude and mean they were for no reason. If you asked a question they acted like you were annoying them and the answers they gave were often wrong. And the wait was long, the process was repetitive and unclear. I couldn't just grab the truck and go. Even though I filled out everything online, I was made to fill it out all over again. I'll go out of my way to avoid this location next time.

I needed a moving van to pick up some furniture in Westchester and bring back to Queens and this U-Haul dealership was great. The staff were super friendly and funny. The check in and return were painless. Great all around—and I’ve had some awful U-Haul experiences (looking at you, downtown Newark location!)

Exceptional staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and helpful. The transaction was quick and the check in was even easier. We have used this U-Haul Center several times and we always have an excellent experience.

We had a very disappointing experience at this storage facility. The staff were unfriendly and rude, giving the impression that they had no interest in actually renting us a unit. One employee in particular, named Katherina, was especially disrespectful and unprofessional. We asked to see where our items—specifically mattresses and other valuable belongings—would be stored, but our request was denied. That was extremely surprising, as any customer should have the right to see the space they’re paying for. When we asked whether we could get a refund if the space didn’t meet our needs, we were told "No." Instead, they said they could "offer something else," but with no guarantees. We left with nothing, just wasting our time. I would not recommend this location.
