Camping World RV Sales

We are from Alberta, Canada, had been on the road a month with our travel trailer when it broke down (suspension). We had it towed to Camping World and met Eric Shelton, the Service Manager. He was fantastic, very informative as to what needed to be done, the cost, time it would take, etc. We cannot thank Eric, Joseph Williams (tech) and his staff enough for all the customer service they provided. Eric coordinated with the appraiser through our Canadian Insurance and kept us informed with phone calls & pictures. They even washed our rig before we picked it up !! We are back on the road thanks to Camping World and Eric and his team. Thank you so much.

So got a camper from camper world in Jackson Ms 2022 rockwood ultra lite. While getting all the paperwork done they ask do you want this or that and you think you do because you can only imagine what could happen. Don’t get it they only cover so much on used stuff if any and you have to pay $200.00 just for them to come out and look at it or as they say bring it in. After deciding to get it we did the bank stuff with the sale guy then he sends you to the warranty guy. They didn’t ask if I would like to pay cash for the warranty they just added it in my loan. I’ve had trouble out of the toilet valve since day one. Went there to buy one $69.00 Amazon two for 16.00 I’ve replaced it three times. I decide I’m ready to pay it off . Well I called camper world to get them to knock off all warranty stuff. They sent in eight thousand and something I emailed Chance back and said it should be like twelve thousand. He said the almost three thousand that was missing was to do with the paint Also since it’s called applied product they can’t take it off like the other warranty stuff. Take into account it don’t need painting and they still say they can’t take it off. So remember never get it! I don’t understand why it can’t be taken off still. It was on the warranty stuff !!!! So? I also was charged destination a thousand and something. They didn’t have to go pick camper up or drop it off it was on the lot! That’s what destination is. It took them almost a month to even get the bank a check for the eight thousand dollars. I have decided to see if they was going to work with me on the paint warranty and destination before I file action Just read all the reviews and you can see what others have to say. This is the email about why they can’t take the paint job off!!

We had a great experience with camping world in Jackson, Mississippi. Patrick Mitchell sales representative, Eric Shelton, service advisor and Chance Ostalet finance manager Patrick Mitchell sales representative made sure we had everything we needed and was awesome to work with. Patrick listened to our needs, gave us space to discuss and make our decisions when we needed it, and did not pressure us in anyway. When he introduced us to Chase, he made sure that Chase knew what our budget concerns were and explained it to him without us having to repeat ourselves multiple times. Patrick literally made this transaction from our old fifth wheel to our new one a pleasant experience and I strongly recommend if you go into camping world Jackson, Mississippi to ask for Patrick. He is awesome. The service dept is hands down one of the best. Eric Shelton the service advisor listened to all of our concerns, gave us good advice and let us know what it would cost to fix our existing fifth wheel. We opted not to fix it and just traded it in for a new fifth wheel. Eric helped us through out the trade-in process, everyone in the service department was helpful, anytime we had questions about the new trailer they were more than willing to assist us, and if they didn’t know the answer they went and found someone who did. I don’t remember the person who gave us the walk-through on our new trailer, but he took his time, and answered all our, questions and showed us everything that we needed to know about our new trailer. Chase Ostalet went above and beyond to get us into our new fifth wheel and kept everything within our budget. We could tell that he truly cared about our needs. Our fifth wheel is almost perfect and the care and consideration this location had for us was heart warming. They really turned a nightmare into a dream. If you need service, don’t go here. They won’t ever call you back. I called and left messages 3 times and they never called back. They serviced our RV and were going to provide us a quote for repairs found and we never heard back. Look somewhere else for service. When serviced our RV, they removed the bug shields and didn’t replace them and left the door open to the hot water tank. It became flooded after a rain storm and we were without hot water until we took a hair dryer to dry it out.

Will visit again! Everyone at this location were nice, professional, courteous, and efficient. We have a Freightliner commercial straight truck with a Bolt RV sleeper. Our rooftop Dometic AC shroud was blown off from the wind going down an interstate, then the AC vent cover was blown away too, so we had a hole in our roof! They were able to get us a new low-profile Dometic Penguin II AC unit in one day, and installation did not take long, and we were in and out quickly, just in time before heavy rain started! Eric Shelton and his service team were great! We decided to purchase the same type of AC unit, so that it was compatible with our thermostat, etc. While we were there, we had Johnny Walker show us RV trailers, as we're also looking to purchase a residential RV. He was wonderful, gave us financing numbers, and once we have a plot of land or an RV campground with long-term stay, we'll be back to work with him.

THE WORST!!! Everytime I've dealt with them, I wish I hadn't. I don't trust them as far as I could throw them. We recently thought about purchasing an rv. However, it lacked some equipment we wanted so we didn't buy. The finance mgr. ran several inquiries on our account lowing my excellent credit score. We told them that we didn't want it. They applied for a loan after we told them we changed our minds. Everytime I've dealt with them, it was shady, but I've learned my lesson. And Megan is the unfriendliest manager I've ever seen. You're supposed to be cordial to your customers or you're not management material. It really surprizes me that Marcus Lemonis works be associated with this company.

Please make sure you read the fine print before purchasing an extended warranty. They neglect to tell you that along with the deductible, you are responsible for the shipping cost of any replacement parts. I would not recommend buying from this Camping World.
