The mini split installation process has many steps, especially if you are getting a heat loan and rebate, but EcoWave walked us through the entire process making it easy. Alejo did a great job of explaining each step and would check in with me to make sure the process was seamless. Like a previous reviewer said, EcoWave does a great job working with quirky old houses to find the most efficient path from the outside condensers to the individual mini split units. We installed 6 mini splits- 1 in the basement, 2 on the main floor, and three upstairs. It's barely noticeable from the outside! The past few summers we have really been feeling the heat in this 1930s home. But it wasn't until June that I realized we would be roasting and would be spending another miserable summer escaping to the movies, since the temperature and humidity in the house were unbearable. We had our first meeting with EcoWave at the beginning of July, and I assumed the job would not be completed until mid to late Fall. After we got the bank and loan process moving (the delay was on our end), Alejo and his team got right to work, and we had mini splits before the end of August! It has made living in our home during summer's final heatwaves much more tolerable! Mini split installations are not cheap, but we were lucky to be able to take advantage of the federal rebates before they expire. It's also a sound investment for a family home that we will appreciate for years to come.

Alejo Maqueda and his crew from ECOWAVE were amazing partners from the early design stages of the project, through execution, and after the project was completed. They worked incredibly hard, came up with innovative solutions to install the system in my quirky old house, and problem-solved as they went along (how to install a minisplit b/t two doors w/o an outside wall, how to position the drainage pipes inside the house, how to fix a water pipe that was leaking in the basement.) They followed through the clauses included in the contract without increasing the total price, and delivered a product that was way above my expectations. We went from having loud AC window units to a house that was quietly heated and cooled and felt much much like an HVAC system. They also listened and responded promptly to any questions I had post-project, for example when I was confused how to switch the systems from a cooling to a heating phase. Alan, the electrician, set up an appointment with the city electrician to come and inspect the new electric panel and the heat pump system. (Everything checked out.) Alejo also installed a unit in the basement that allowed our gas furnace to "talk" to the minisplits, so that when the outside temp reached 30F the minisplits system would shut down and allow the gas furnace to kick in (this is more energy efficient and less costly in the winter, and also leads to a diferrent, more even heat rising from the floor as opposed to being pumped in the house through the minisplits.) Last but not least, Alejo has been incredibly supportive in helping me apply for rebates for the mini splits system. I am in the process of completing this. I don't think that this was nec part of his job, but his attention and care to this issue made this process a lot easier. All in all, I felt that I started this project with a lot of apprehension and anxiety. Two months post-project, I am more than happy with the results. I also feel like I have gained a couple of new friends that I can always reach out with questions. Needless to say, this is not a typical experience with a contractor!

Amazing experience with EcoWave with our heat pump install, electric panel upgrade, and EV charger install. First, EcoWave knows the process and does it all in house from the heat pump to electrician to the rebate process. Alejo is super friendly, had great prices, and was able to schedule all work around my hectic night shift schedule. His workers were polite, clean, and quiet. They were hyper aware of our animals and to make sure they closed doors and didn't let them escape! The electrician was super professional and did a clean install. Check out the photos, especially the before / after panel install. I would not hesitate to hire EcoWave again!!

We had such a seamless installation of new heat pump and ductwork done to our home by Ecowave. Every team that came into the house to complete their piece of the process were incredibly friendly and extremely efficient. I would recommend Ecowave to anyone looking for upgrades to your HVAC. We met with multiple companies and Ecowave was the best to work with from cost, friendliness, and efficiency perspectives.

My wife and I had an excellent experience with Ecowave! I generally don’t leave reviews, but I’d highly recommend going with Ecowave. From the start of the process Alejo did a great job of explaining his approach and was open to talking about alternative options. He kept us up-to-date throughout the process and always responded in a timely manner. Once the heat pump installation was complete, Alejo came by to do a walkthrough to make sure everything was up to his standards and ended up catching one thing that needed to be redone. The tech came by later that day and resolved the issue. Overall it was a top notch experience and I’d give them a 5/5, which rarely happens as I’m a pretty particular person (just ask my wife).

Awesome to work with from start to finish. I love our new Heat pump system and upgraded electrical panel. They made everything very simple for us from quoting and layout planning, to walking us through the HEAT loan application and rebate process. Got a Bosch system to replace our old A/C and the work was done earlier than anticipated and in about 1.5 days. Very easy to work with; knowledgeable without being pushy like competitors may be.
