Bill Rhiners Plumbing Heating & Cooling

Think twice about hiring this company. I made an appointment to have hot and cold water spigots placed in my garage. The individual showed up had no clue how to perform said work. After 3 separate visits, still couldn't get it right, the "hot" side was installed on the right and "cold" on the left. Also, the spigots were off centered about 2 inches from each other, shoddy work. Over $600.00 to install, laughable.

Noah and Tyler did a super job of fixing my leaky faucets and changing out copper pipes to the water shut offs. It's nice to see some younger technicians stepping in to fill the need when so many of the repair service industry are nearing retirement.

Horribly unprofessional. Have very inexperienced technicians working for them who can’t troubleshoot complex hvac issues. Spent more time leaning on their truck, smoking, spitting, burping and sweating than actually working. Left constant messes they didn’t clean up. The woman at the front desk is also horrifically unprofessional. If you don’t like your job that much maam, find another one.

Rhiner’s has been nothing but problems and wasting our time and money for over 9 months. We had the same team (Rob, sometimes accompanied by a younger apprentice lad) out here on at least 5 occasions, about once per month. The following are just a few things that occurred during that time: -failed to let us know on at least 2 occasions (including 1 supposed to be with a manager) that they would not be coming that day, resulting in wasted PTO. No follow-up from them or their office either on reasoning why or rescheduling. -failed to tighten a relocated (which Rob had performed) fridge water shut-off, resulting in a leak. -failed to recall that the drain had already been set in our sink for their install, then proceeded to move sink to ground resulting in a broken seal and personal labor to remove, clean and prep area again for the following time. -raised his voice (Rob) at me on at least 2-3 occasions. Concerning how this did not ever occur when my husband was present. -failed to listen on numerous (3+) occasions that: a) the sink is a wall-mount and always was intended to be wall-mount. b) the hardware provided vs what was needed, resulting in not having proper parts ready and them needing to come back yet again. -refusing to complete work that he should’ve already been well-prepared for with specific parts (again, he had known about this project for 9 months and had been out to our home at least 4 times prior, specifically discussing this particular project): (Rob) "I’m not gonna go looking around for those parts right now". Then, had the audacity to ask me to change my design layout to accomodate the parts that he did have on hand, even after he had already left once mid-visit to go get parts. This was the final straw for us. We were hesitant to even call them back prior to that last trip given all those concerns, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt to complete the job they started and which they have been saying all along they can do. Ended up firing them and going with another company mid-project. Everything else that Rhiner’s had dropped the ball on inbetween, we had to fix and complete. Even when the office asked me why, they had no apologies, desire to right things, or even simple acknowledgement of their poor service. Hence the review. They lost our business and more notably our trust to even perform their duties, and we absolutely will refer people away from this company. Hoping this helps some people steer clear from Rhiner’s.

We called to have a leaking toilet fixed. Our home has CPVC pipes and it's over 20 years old. The plumber from Rhiners let alone any plumber worth anything should have known these pipes can get brittle and we've been told by a couple other plumbers that they just don't break on their own with a little bit of pressure. Apparently the plumber from Rhiners cranked on it to tighten it and it broke. We had water running everywhere. This was on a Wednesday...they didn't come back until Thursday into the following week so we were down a bathroom and shower during that time. My husband paid for the services on that Wednesday. About $130. Keep in mind that they broke the pipe... when they fixed it the next week they charged us $630 plus we have holes in our walls that need patching that again...had they not busted our pipe in the first place none of this extra cost would have been an issue. My husband emailed them and pleaded our case that this wasn't our doing...they refused to budge on the cost of the 2nd visit and told him they didn't charge us for labor for the first visit... WHAT??? If they hadn't broke the pipe on the first visit we would have never had a 2nd visit. This is totally ridiculous and no way to work with a customer! Needless to say...we don't have a nice review for Rhiners Plumbing in Clive!
