Smiley's Heating and Cooling

I have nothing bad to say about this place. I got three estimates for a new a/c and they were the cheapest. Also the guy Ryan Vonshell was a sweetheart and came and installed a window unit for FREE that I purchased off Amazon. I would have had to pay Lowe’s like $150.00-$200.00. I am a single female a live by myself, so I think he understood a)I value my money b)he REALLY has GREAT customer service and cares about his customers! They took away the old stuff, and left me w/ a new digital thermostat which I can control from my phone(nice!), and a nice reliable a/c unit! Ryan really is knowledgeable and does care about all of his customers, so call Smileys Heating and Cooling, they are top notch!!!!!!

I am most pleased with the maintenance service that Darnell performed on my dual AC system. I have had a maintenance agreement for approximately three years and Smiley’s would come out twice a year but this was the first time that anyone has ever taken pictures of everything they did, from hosing down my filters, to the part that needed to be replaced and then he sent them to me via email. I have been pleased with Smiley’s service but this time I was extremely impressed. After viewing the images, I was more confident that the service I was paying for was being done. Darnell was very professional, timely, and experienced. After he did the service, he would let me know he was going back to check to make sure everything was working properly. He had to come back the next day to replace a part and checked again that everything was working. I have always had very friendly technicians from Smiley’s, but I can truly say that Darnell was top-notch in everything he did. Seeing the before and after pictures is a good policy to adopt as you normally have to take the technicians word that everything was done or that something needs to be replaced. I will ask for Darnell specifically from now on.

It was a great purchasing experience. The installation was great as well. In and out in 8 hours. I couldn't be more happier with the experience I had with using this company. I would highly recommend them.

Smiley's sent their technician Harold today. He was here to do routine maintenance on our heating system. Harold was excellent, he explained to me what he was doing to the system. Then he let me know that everything was in good working order. It is a rainy day and Harold even put his shoe booties on and off every time he went outside and then back inside my house. Harold is an excellent representative for the company. 0924/25 Smiley's sent their electrician Wes to my house for an electrical problem I was having. This was actually the second visit from Wes. He is extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. I had a exterior lamp post that was causing some interior lights to not work. He found the problem and corrected the issue. He was also very good at explaining what he was doing to fix the problem. Wes is also an excellent representative for the company. Smiley's is fortunate to have such good employees.

Just completed an annual inspection on my system and enjoyed another quality experience with Smileys. Wes arrived on time with a courteous effort to cover his footwear & went to work in a polite & professional manner keeping me informed as he covered indoor & outdoor aspects of my system. I have loved my new system & am enjoying the reassurance that it is performing at its peak. Your company was represented well by this employee & your high standards I appreciate. I am the one Smiling when I reccomend this company to all.

On time and both workers had a very friendly and welcoming demeanor. The work turned out great; operations explained and total clean up. Small issue but it was found by them and adjustment order placed.

I visited the Portsmouth, VA office and was cheerfully greeted. I stated my AC situation and was given an appointment the next day; the AC fan was running but no cool air. The service technician arrived the next morning. I was given a text stating that he was on his way with name and a location tracking link. The technician, Chris F, quickly identified the issue, corrected it, and ensured that the system was running correctly with the right parameters before he would declare the repair complete. He was informative throughout the process. He also provided additional information that help me to decide to go with Smiley's annual maintenance plan which I will set up soon. I am very pleased with my interactions with Smiley's personnel and workmanship.
