Bellows Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical

I went with Bellows because they were the installer for Costco. I received quotes from other companies but decided to go with them even though they were more expensive. I figured I was getting top notch service. I now regret my decision using Bellows. I planned to have my unit installed in the spring before the summer heat wave. After having my new air conditioning unit installed, it stopped working shortly after. The equipment was not at fault, but the installation in my attic was pooling water. They came out and fixed it. The unit worked for a short time then again, stopped working. They did not fix the problem as water was pooling again. Bellows came and worked in my attic for a 3rd attempt at installing the equipment, which so far is currently working. Not only was this surprising that the installation took three tries, but having to find someone to be at my house for each day was inconvenient. Once, expected. Twice, understandable. Three times...a little ridiculous. There was also the time I had somebody waiting at my house for workers that apparently weren't scheduled to come. Now comes the city inspection. The equipment outside passed the inspection, but guess what failed the inspection...the equipment in the attic that was worked on three times! Now Bellows has to work in my attic for a 4th time. To quote Bellows, "Regarding compensation for time, we do not offer it." I paid more for a professional installation which I did not get. I paid more than the competitors for an installation that did not meet industry standards. I am in the service area for Bellows, but their excuse is that specific jurisdictions have unique requirements. Apparently I am the only San Benito County resident that has used their service as they weren't aware of materials and methods in my county. And when I was told I would receive a call this afternoon because they were going to correct this ASAP, I never got a call. Big surprise. I like my air conditioning unit, but I am not happy with this company. It's a good thing the labor warranty is one year, because at six months in I will have used it three times to fix their installation. For a company not able to pass the city inspection, that makes me regret using Bellows. Bellows has done it again! Jamie and Antonio were absolute experts — they completed my entire HVAC installation in record time, just 4 days! Winters in Felton are harsh, especially for my daughter, and they truly listened and worked their magic to get everything done perfectly. Their professionalism, efficiency, and kindness made the whole experience outstanding. I couldn’t be happier with my new system. Highly recommended!

This is not the first time I have hired Bellows. They Professional, Honest, Awesome communication, and completed the project in a timely manner. I want to thank Mike. He was professional, identified the problem, and went the extra mile to resolve our problem.

Hansen came to fix the gas furnace which was installed less than a year ago. He was before time, very knowledgeable and meticulous in his approach. Fixed the issue and explained the probable cause. Didn’t charge anything as it was under warranty. All interaction from the point of me contacting Bellows to Hansen solving problem was excellent. It is clear that Bellows as a company and the team have the right mindset and skillsets. They will be my go to company for any future house related issues.

If I was just rating the install of our central air system and professionalism of Jamie, Antonio and Alvie it would be an easy 5 stars. They were great to work with and did really great work in the attic and all the work looks top notch. Unfortunately there was some damage done near the electrical runs for the system that resulted in a sizable 5" hole in garage stucco from interior through to exterior. At first I thought it might have been an accident that went unnoticed until finding the chunks of stucco had been gathered by someone and put on our fence, with no mention to us. The damage to the stud and stucco looks like it was likely from the claw end of a hammer or a pry tool. After just getting out house freshly painted last summer, it was a bummer. Getting help for the repair and followup wasn’t great, and payment was even asked for before it was resolved when calling in and getting billing. A few days later Derek did help get someone out for repair but Kevin simply patched the repair with sanded caulk, which a day later is already showing a crack up the center and not fully curing. I’m having a stucco specialist come out to repair the hole properly, which will be another $350 out of pocket. Really great initial experience that turned sub par, I’m not sure we’ll be using Bellows for future work.

The technician that came up was very nice and explained everything well. He stayed longer than usual to troubleshoot an issue. I highly recommend Bellows for plumbing, heating and air conditioning! They really do stand behind their work.
