Lowe's Home Improvement in Mobile offers a broad selection of building materials, tools, and outdoor supplies. Customers often appreciate the convenience of curbside pickup, which can streamline the shopping process. A dedicated team strives to assist with projects, though wait times for assistance can occasionally impact the overall experience.
The store’s commitment to efficient returns appears inconsistent, and navigating the return process may sometimes require extra patience. Nevertheless, the availability of a wide range of products and the possibility of special order items remain significant advantages for homeowners and contractors.

Customer Reviews
Lowe's Home Improvement has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 based on over 2645 reviews on Google
It should have been a zero because I had to wait 30-45 min for a salesperson. She came in and saved the day. She did an amazing Job. I don't remember her name, but her service is a five. Lowes really gets a zero. Kudos to the 1st grade teacher.
I ordered twenty bags of mulch for curbside pickup. I alerted them to my departure and parked in a pickup spot. After checking in on the app, an employee approached my vehicle and handed me a paper before instructing me to pull alongside the building. Another employee loaded my mulch and I was on my way. Twenty minutes, tops. Would definitely recommend!
Had to trek back to this far away store because my hubby lost his way at the refund counter. I think when the woman stated she had to go sit down in the middle of his 3 returns, it threw him off. The woman couldn't find the first item in the system, and of course, we didn't have that receipt, so we have to keep it. She then did the return for one item but didn't give him back the original receipt (and we have no idea if it had other items on it that we may want to someday return...) Lastly, she gave him back the original receipt, didn't return our money, but kept the item. Sigh. So we probably spent close to the return amount on gas, but it was about the principle of the matter. It's funny to note that when we went back into the store return area yesterday, we couldn't see anyone at the return desk... until we walked up and noticed a woman with her head lying on the counter (yes, of course, I went with him this time, with Karen tucked quietly, laying in wait, in my purse). Guess who! We tried to keep it simple, and think she didn't argue with us over the matter after my hubby kept repeating, 'you told me you had to go and sit down'. Have to obviously share my experience while he was having his. The first time we went to this far off Lowe's (there to pick up more tile that they had and our regular store didn't), I headed to the flooring section while my hubby tried the returns. I moved a display and was on my knees, digging out the retreated tile when a guy stopped and asked, "What can I do for you?" I told him I was trying to reach the tile, and he said he would be back..... Many minutes lay-ter.... (SpongeBob ref). While he was gone, I dragged out the tile, went to get a cart, tracked down my hubby, wandering about like men do in this type of store..., and took him back to the flooring section, wherein he loaded the heavy tile into the cart, and we changed aisles to look at new tile. Turned the corner almost right into the guy who said he'd be right back. I looked him straight up with pursed lips and said, 'umm-hm, and...?" Oooooo, he turned ten shades of red... stammered about finishing a task and helping several other people on his way back...ah-ha...riiiiight. I funned with him some more before paying. We left, and you know the rest of the story. (Returning the next day, on principle)... Double sigh.
Today (9/27/25), my husband and I went into Lowe's at Tillmans Corne to pick up some items for a project we are working on. In the Past, I have never really like going into any Lowe's store, this one included because the customer service has been Bad. The employees either act like you are interrupting their "work day" (while they were listening to something on there phone) by asking them a question, and if you did ask them where an item was located they would just point towards the direction of the aisle the item was on, and they NEVER just walked up to me (like the employees do at Home Depot) and ask me if I need any help. All of these reasons are why I always preferred going to Home Depot even though their prices are slightly higher, but since Lowes is closer to our house my husband likes to go there. Something happened today at the Tillmans Corner Lowe's that has NEVER happened to us when we have been in there in the past. We were on an aisle and a Lowes employee walked up to us and asked us if we needed any help. I couldn't believe it!! I told him that all of the times we had been in here in the past no employee has ever done this. He introduced himself as Manager Q, and shook my hand and my husband's hand. He helped us find the item we needed. He is definitely a GREAT Asset to this store and hopefully the employees under him will follow his example on what Great Customer Service should look like.
My husband and I were shopping for light kits at our Rangeline Rd, Mobile, AL Lowe’s today and the light kits were on sale for $29.99, regular $39.99. I have attached a pic of the sign. We were told by the Manager, Jason that since they did not ring up the sale price they could not honor the sale price but on 1 light kit. We would have to pay regular price on the other 3. Are you kidding me? Well, we left them there and will order from Amazon. Everyone wonders why brick and mortar stores are going out of business. I wonder why???? Beware of shopping this Lowe’s store!!!
Stopped in while town in a small job and the store and staff was great the lumber end took great care of all our needs and got both our trailers loaded and extremely fast and helpful which is great for contractors trying to get to a job
I will never buy appliance again from Lowe's.. get their extended warranty to pay extra money for things that they don't even take care of.. bought my dishwasher May 10th 2025 it starts running bad in September 2025.. and all they can do is tell me to call the manufacturer while the way I look at it is when you buy it somewhere you should be able to take it back to where you bought it they should have to deal with the appliance company... I don't like strangers in my house I have dogs and I don't need the hassle of somebody coming to my house I rather take it back where I bought it and let them deal with it like they should.. that is good customer service... That's what you used to do back in the nineties and everything but I guess they call this progress... And what's even worse is I even asked the lady when I bought it I have any problems can I bring it back here yes ma'am.. I guess they get a commission off of what they sell probably and anything you say anything to make sure they get a sale,..
