Powertron Battery Co

I was referred here by a friend who said Powertron batteries are used at his work and have no issues. I first started by checking the Powertron website for the battery and didn't see any information about my battery group size or CCA. I then called them the next day and was told the price for a battery which was a good price. I went to purchase a battery and the price matched what i was told on the phone, so I purchased the battery. The weird part started when I picked up the battery. No where on the battery did it say CA or CCA it just said Powertron and Santa Ana,CA. After the battery was installed I started the car and seemed a bit sluggish starting. I thought maybe its just sitting for a bit. I called the store and was told its 550CCA. I went to a different location to get the battery tested 2 times and everything was good with 100% health. When i got home I noticed that my receipt said the CCA (525) of the battery which suprised me even more. The CCA was lower than what i was told on the phone(550). I usually use 640CCA (Walmart,Sams Club, Costco) and it starts up with No hesitation. The battery from here compares to the battery from Walmart 2nd tier "Plus" with 525CCA. (Walmart batteries go Value, Plus, Maxx, Platinum AGM) When I called the dealership to get minimum CCA for my car I was told 585CCA. The better option is 640CCA. Unfortunately for the battery that i was looking for, there was only 1 option with lower 525CCA which doesn't meet the minimum requirement for my car.

My family has recommended Powertron Battery Co for over 25 years. Every time I need a new battery for my car, I always stop by to get a new one. Last week I paid around $105.00 (3–4-year battery life) to have my old battery replaced with a new one. That includes the Battery and installation. If you have not been to Powertron yet, I strongly recommend you do.

Powertron seems to have the best prices in Orange County for your battery needs. Very helpful staff and very knowledgeable. They actually tried to talk me out of the batteries I wanted to purchase, and sell me a less expensive battery that would better suit my needs. You don't usually experience that these days

Just purchased a new car battery from Powertron. The owner of the business was extremely helpful and prepped the new battery for me. He included a new vent tube in case my old one didn’t fit. Great local business with good employees. Definitely will go back again.
