The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful, the installers and techs were professional and polite. But the system doesn't work all the time. When its up, its great. Unfortunately it keeps going down and the company doesnt communicate. Frustrating and sorry I went with southwest.

I installed solar panels with this company 3 years ago. 2 weeks ago my panels stopped producing electricity. I've tried to reach out to Southwest Electric for 2 weeks now, no answer to calls, I can't even leave a vm. Tried opening several tickets that haven't gone anywhere. Super disappointed. I spent almost 50k on panels and right now they are useless. UPDATE: had to pay a service fee of $399 for them to check that my inverter really was not working (like the app stated) just to be told Solar Edge is going to replace it since they warranty the part. Now Solar Edge is saying that they only warranty the part but Southwest Electric will have to replace it. Waiting to see if they want to charge me another $399 service fee but again cannot get ahold of anyone...

My experience with Southwest Electric, the City of Phoenix, and APS during my solar installation was nothing short of infuriating. The lack of communication between these entities was astounding. Each one passed the buck, delayed progress, and showed little to no understanding of how my solar system was configured. It felt like I was stuck in a bureaucratic black hole where no one took responsibility and no one cared about resolving the issues. Southwest Electric was slow and uncommunicative, failing to coordinate effectively with the other parties. The City of Phoenix added layers of red tape and delays without offering any clarity or support. APS, meanwhile, was nearly impossible to get answers from and seemed completely disconnected from the process. If it weren’t for Sun Alpha stepping in to educate and push these organizations to act, my system would still be sitting incomplete. It’s unacceptable that a customer has to rely on a third party to get basic cooperation from utility and city services. These companies made what should have been a straightforward installation into a months-long ordeal. I sincerely hope they improve their processes and start treating customers with the respect and urgency they deserve.

Avoid at all costs. If they solicit your business run as fast as you can! I don’t know if they are incompetent or flat out dishonest. Terrible communication and sadly just a terrible company. There are much stronger choices available. I’d rate them negative 5 stars if it was an option

I had them replace my roof. I noticed there was some things that looked off. Had somebody from the company come out and inspect it, they told me it was all good. Then I had a leak in 2 different places they did not want to fix the roof had to go back to my contract and show them that they were liable. For the damage after a year and four months, they made some repairs that were not up to code they told me they would be sending another crew out to fix that work they never showed up whatsoever it's been almost two years now.Still, do not have my roof fixed they keep making up excuses as to why they cannot pay me for the roof we're for it to get fixed most of the time, when you end up calling them, no one answers i have requested to speak to the CEO/owner of the company, and he will not talk to me directly i have requested that a third the party company. Am I choosing repair the roof they have provided everything necessary for southwest electric.the owner will not answer his phone to take a call from me they are doing everything they can to try and not pay for the mistakes that they have created
