I visit this Home Depot often simply because it’s the most convenient stop for my projects. To be honest, I usually prefer to support local mom-and-pop shops whenever possible to help keep dollars circulating in the community. That said, this store can be a bit hit or miss. The staff are generally nice, but turnover seems high — so much so that I stopped trying to remember names. But every once in a while, you cross paths with an employee who stands out for all the right reasons. Today, that person was Enada (pronounced like Canada). I was looking for sink mounting clips and couldn’t find them where I expected. I asked a group of employees for help, and while most looked unsure, Enada immediately stepped up. She didn’t just point me in a direction — she walked with me to find the item, scanned the SKU, checked availability, and even thought of another section to look in. What made the experience refreshing was her attitude — upbeat, genuine, and focused on finding a solution. She mentioned she recently moved here from Arizona, which explains why I hadn’t seen her before. Her smile and positive energy made my day. Home Depot — if you’re reading this — employees like Enada are the ones to recognize and grow into leadership roles. She embodies the kind of service that makes customers want to keep coming back. Keep up the great work, Enada!

Love the Home Depot on Charles st Providence RI. very friendly and helpful staff. A shout out to Alex..who helped me with 2 online order pickups and returns. He went above and beyond to cancel an order for me that I had inadvertently ordered from a different Home Depot.

This was hands down the worst Home Depot experience I’ve ever had. My husband and I waited over 25 minutes just for someone to unlock a gate so we could get a power tool. During that time, we asked multiple employees for help. Some called over the intercom for a hardware associate, others just said they didn’t have the keys and kept walking. No one actually took ownership or tried to solve the problem. At one point, I even walked across the store to customer service to ask for help and she said she’s love to help but couldn’t leave the counter (which I understand). She called for someone over the intercom also, and no one came. Finally, someone just passing by happened to have keys and opened it for us. Completely unacceptable. If it takes half an hour and endless runarounds just to buy a tool, something is seriously wrong with the way this store is managed. Never again.

That’s a serious issue. Mixing wet, potentially moldy shims with new ones—especially if the new ones are also wet—creates a bigger problem. The moisture from the compromised shims can spread to the new ones, increasing the risk of mold growth across the entire pile. Even if the new shims weren’t moldy to begin with, the damp conditions mean they could soon become moldy, especially since they’re already wet. This makes the whole batch unsuitable for use, particularly in a sensitive area like a bathroom behind a wet wall, where mold can cause health and structural issues, as we discussed earlier. This kind of mishandling at Home Depot suggests poor inventory management. They should be separating damaged or compromised stock and ensuring all materials are stored in dry conditions. Selling shims in this state is not only a quality issue but also a potential liability, as installing them could lead to mold problems in someone’s home.

The Home Depot is an extraordinary department store where we can find all kinds of products for the home, cleaning, construction, decoration, gardening, all kinds of products at excellent prices. I was at the Home Depot in Providence in RI, and I noticed that the stores are standardized in all American states, but there is a difference from the stores in Massachusetts, the service, I found the attendants of the providence store to be rude, impatient and had no goodwill to give information about where the products were located. When I went to pay for my purchases, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with the attendant who took the barcode reader from my hand and started reading my purchases. I felt super bad about the situation because this had never happened before in any store in Massachusetts. I go every week to shop at The Home Depot stores in Massachusetts and I've never had any problems and every review I've done I've given 5 stars. For the Providence store I will give 2 stars because of the service which is very bad, because the store is dirty, disorganized and people need to be educated. do not recommend 2/10

Absolute trash costumer service. I placed an order online and it was delivered to my house, but I left a note saying to leave it at the back door. It was left at my front door and ended up being stolen. Now this Home Depot is telling me it’s not their problem and they won’t refund me or reimburse me in anyway. The person basically said nothing to me on the phone and did not care about this situation AT ALL. It was a lot of money to me, and now I can’t fix my house and this store doesn’t even want to put in ANY effort to find any kind of solution. Do not shop here, and especially do not place a delivery order online!! You’ll be losing your money. Good for you Home Depot, I know you really need that money to keep the lights on.

Always my favorite Home Depot to go to. Everything always well stocked and the employees are very professional and helpful. I wish this store was in Boston where I live. On my last visit an employee named Bob saw me grab a vacuum that came with a promotion for a free battery that I was not aware of. He located me in the store after I grabbed to to let me know about the battery and went and got it for me. He went totally out of his way to help and also shows the degree to which he was paying attention. Thanks Bob and Home Depot Providence.
