If you’re looking for a stroll around gorgeous buildings and amazing magnolia trees in the spring this is the place to come to! The campus is very cool with nicely kept landscape. Lots of flowers and nature as well as intricately designed buildings. I also worked in the laboratory in Research building 4 on the 9th floor and the views are incredible! My time there was very precious as we have made terrific progress however I wish we were better compensated. But such is the life in an academic institution.

For those driving onto campus you’ll find plenty of traffic control folks helping out. Vanderbilt is a walkable campus and that means there are a lot of pedestrians. Having someone help watch out for people and cars is a big plus!

Took my girlfriend to the ER due to a reoccurring kidney infection and she has been going here since she was a kid. The staff are great and did what they can, but we had to wait almost 9 hours in the lobby before we can get anything done. The ER is supposed to be something faster pace in the case of actual emergencies and upset they couldn't up the pace.

I was here with my girlfriend on 8/15/2025. She was transported 100 miles from Vanderbilt in Tullamhoma to Vanderbilt in Nashville. Her leg was severely broken and needing surgery. Once she got there she was left in the hallway for 12 hours. During this time she received nothing for her pain, and told by several nursing staff that they were to busy to help her at the moment. When she had to use the restroom they were just going to let her sit there and do that on herself. I snapped out resulting in getting myself kick out of the hospital. But she finally got put into a room and given medication. I returned the next day to the room she was placed in post operation where everything was fine. The nurses are awesome there, her needs are being met, they even have a comfortable futon for me to sleep on while I'm with her. Speaking with the nursing staff on this floor about the ER, their reply was, "The ER is like a completely different world sadly". That hospital controls so much money that they can laugh at any lawsuits brought against them. They do some good there don't get me wrong. But the bad is really bad. In 2010 they had double the national average of hospital bourne illnesses. That's one hospital double the illnesses of the whole nation. WOW!

Went over by Vanderbilt University to just walk around this beutiful campus. The old buildings and architectural aspects are beutiful. It's full of very old trees that surround the campus. I really love the magnolia trees. An excellent place to walk around or have a picnic out in the grass. Definitely recommend a visit to Vanderbilt University.

I'm so excited to begin my journey here to further pursue my education. So much hard work and dedication. The passion and excitement is such an overwhelming joy. This campus reminds me of Cambridge University in some aspects.
