years ago they offered good value on batteries, but like all companies that get bought out by big companies previous owner gets rich customers get higher prices. you can buy as good or better batteries for lower prices. pretty store and nicely uniformed employees, but no good prices anymore.
The white dude told me the battery included the 5 year warranty. They failed to mentioned it cost an extra 20%. I didn’t notice that they charged me extra until I saw the receipt . That is misleading and there is a reason why people are asked if they want to pay extra for an extended warranty.
Prices beat most competitors. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, their payment system is antiquated and does not allow for "split" payments (cash & card). Obviously, it's not their fault if you're not prepared to pay for everything via one tender or card. However, considering that pretty much anywhere else in God's America can accept split payments — I just expect an establishment of this caliber to be able to do so. You wouldn't encounter this inconvenience until you have already driven there and stood in line thinking you're leaving with a new battery. Please upgrade your payment system. It's 2025.
If you are in need of a car battery, go to Master Battery!! I bought my battery from Master Battery 2 or 3 years ago. I thought it was going bad, so I took my car to one of the retail chain auto parts stores to have it tested. Their diagnostic tool showed everything being ok, but the person didn't seem confident, so I called Master Battery. I explained to the person that answered the phone (Jared) what was going on and he said just bring my car in and let them take a look as their diagnostic equipment was more advanced. When I got to the store, Geoff and another man (I didn’t get his name) were behind the counter, and were both very nice. I told them I had called earlier and spoken to Jared. Geoff grabbed their diagnostic machine and while he was checking my car, Jared came out as well. After a few minutes they determined that I did actually need a new battery. The one I had purchased there previously was recycled and only had a 60 day warranty. I could get another recycled one, or I could get a new one with a 3 year warranty. When I was at the chain store, they said the cheapest battery they had was $199. A new battery at Master Battery was $99. They are currently having a canned food drive and if you bring in 5 cans of food, you can get a $25 discount, so they were able to help me bring the cost down a little bit with that. They also told me to keep an eye on a couple of other things based on their diagnostic test. The whole process was quick, and I was in and out in about half an hour. Geoff and Jared both were very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. They were also fun to talk to. Needless to say, the customer service was great. Master Battery offers other battery products as well, not just for cars. After two experiences with this store, I highly recommend them and I will always go back to them for any future battery needs.
My experience with master battery was amazing ! I was helped by a man named Jared and he was so polite and attentive and helped me swiftly and efficiently!! He actually took his time with helping me instead of trying to rush me out the door like all other places were. Highly recommend Jared if you stop by here! Plus their prices can’t be beat!
Never go here at this location. The general manager Mike Hammond try’s to start arguments when you’re being nice. I was on the phone he kept butting in on my conversation when I was on the phone. And also after taking 20 to 25 mins refuse to sell me a battery. And being very rude. He works with the public and that not a way to talk to a customer at all. Very disrespectful.
I bought a 3 year warranty battery in May 2024, it's August 2024 now , I went to my car and it wouldn't start I called AAA they came out checked it said my alternator and was good that it was my battery it was dead only 2 amps and 84. So I took it to master battery and they said it was good to to it to a garage so I took it to my Mechanic he said my alternate starter was ok it was my battery 2amps 84 . Master battery still refuse to change it put so I got my mechanic to install another one it was a diehard it started right up. I don't recommend master battery to anyone .
