If there were a zero stars rating that is what I would give DLC. They have promised us restoration of power 4 times in the last 7 days. Two blocks of Beechwood Blvd. 20 houses on Forest Glen, many more on Phillips, mid-Squirrel Hill, no DLC work going on after a week without electricity. Shameful.

In order to change the name on the account you have to close the account and reopen a new one. I did. At the time Duquesne Light owed me $756.95 in cash and 610.8790 solar generation credits. It is now 2 months later and no check! What do you think that they would do to you if you didn’t pay in 2 months?!? I called billing and they said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. Yeah that was 2 weeks ago!!!

The worst customer service experience of any company I've had the displeasure of dealing with. Unprepared for any weather events and then they're incredibly rude to you when you report an outage. Pathetic.

1 star is too much. Just moved, bill of nearly $500. It claims we didn't pay last month, fine, maybe got missed in the moving chaos, but there's no reason for DLC and Supply Charges to be over $100 each PLUS our old address is still on the account with our new AND in some places it lists the old address TWICE. When I try to look at our energy use with their tool on their website there are just errors! Try to call and am told it's 3.5 hour estimated wait, try their chat and the website automatically logs us out for inactivity before anyone ever responds! The phone system doesn't give you an option for callback and there's no other way given to reach out to them either by email or in-person.

I do not want to take a total dump on them because working with electricity is dangerous and I have power most of the time, but I called to simply get a temporary shut-off so I could safely trim a tree the service drop goes through on my property and the wait time was 2 hours! A passenger pigeon would of been faster! They really need to get a handle on the wait time and implement a way to contact them via email, or to have them do a call-back. It's 2023 DLC.

Besides the fact that DLC "Distribution" is a monopoly, and their basic charges and rates are a rip off compared to WestPenn power, Oh yea and frequent power outages. Now they are trying to eliminate their customer service. I am trying to turn the power on to a vacant house. They keep directing you to their website , then hang up. I have tried several different menu options on the phone with no success. I need to talk to someone about potential past due balance and Do i need to have an inspection due to the house sitting for more than a few years.

The average hold time for anything not automatic is 2 hours. I ended up waiting 2 and a half and the customer support person was immediately patronizing. I've never had a problem with customer service for any other company, so it was a little off-putting to be treated poorly from the start.
