The Airco team did a good job of replacing the old HVAC system with a dual furnace heat pump system which has improved the heating and cooling experience. I am still taking time to get used and learn this new tech and may come back in the future to post on a more informed basis. Thank you, Joe, for taking the time to walk me through all the options with patience and professionalism.

From sales process, to installation, to getting our rebate paperwork in, Airco has been of great aid the entire time. Joe was a fabulous salesman who made me feel like I knew the product I was getting before I had ever seen it. Steve and his crew were professional and got the job done faster than expected, and there have been no issues with the heat pumps since. I would recommend Airco to be your Mass Save partner.

Not that replacing a furnace system is ever *fun*, but Joe, Steve, and everyone at AirCo made it as painless as it could be. Joe spent a lot of time with us working through our goals and options before writing up the quote (best price we saw by several thousand dollars btw) and answered all of our questions quickly. The crew was timely, professional, and knowledgeable. The installation is neat and greatly simplified the 50 year old maze of pipes we had previously AirCo will be our first call for any HVAC needs we have going forward and the first company we'll recommend to those who ask.

With the climate crisis it is time to start putting our money to good use. We replaced our oil burning furnace with a geothermal sourced heat pump system with Airco. They guided us through the project so that we had no false expectations and were ready for each phase of work as it came. They were always on time (this took some months) and inside budget. Now we have more floor space (no more cast iron radiators!), a cleaner house, and both heating and cooling are now super cheap for us. Through it all the Airco team was always kind and efficient. Please call them NOW for your conversion, you won’t be disappointed. We now won’t be burning hundreds of gallons of dirty fuel EVERY YEAR. Do your part to get off fossil fuels and call Airco; they know what they are doing.

They installed a beautiful (and quiet) Fujitsu heat pump which they had recommended to replace the aging gas-fired HVAC system in our tenants' third floor apartment. Although we had to wait six months in their queue while they held our deposit, the actual installation took but two or three days which was done with a minimum of fuss to our tenants. The good news is that they are perfectly happy with the new system, and their gas bill has gone way down. The bad news is their electric bill has gone up, so it's basically a wash. A couple of words of advice: make sure that the installer calibrates the new thermostat to fit your system and checks it because it wasn't working correctly until he came back to set it up right, which they did promptly, and which is something the average homeowner couldn't do. Also, getting the rebates is turning into a bit of a nightmare. Our salesperson told us when we signed the contract that we needed to have a MassSave energy audit done, but we forgot about it, and he never checked in with us during the waiting period or before they started the job, which we wish he had done, and included wording about it in the contract. Now we are haviing it done after the fact and don't know if we have forfeited the rebate or not. And the federal rebate, though funded, has to be administered by the state which has not set anything up yet, and who knows when they will?

Refused to close permits in a timely manner. Would not recommend at this point. After being pleased with the service and communication during the sales process, and work performed, we were surprised when we could not get someone to reliably reply to our texts or calls for repairs. It took months of calls and texts for a nice crew to come and address the issues. This delay and refusal to answer calls or texts was also true when we needed to close two of their outstanding permits to sell our home. More than a year and a half after the system was installed, which detailed the need to close all permits, they are still open. We have less than a month and this is jeopardizing the sale. At this time, I would not recommend. I’m hoping they’ll come through and I’ll update if that’s true. Update: We were able to close the permits a few days before our closing date. Too close for my comfort and with additional work needed. Somerville is tough to work with so I understand not wanting to deal with them. Again, happy with the work and the team who comes out is professional and helpful. The in-between moments when you’re not sure who is coming, or when, or how the work will get finished is rough. I was happy to hear that the process is a bit different for new customers. You may need to be a squeaky wheel to get help after the work is done and you’ve paid all but the hold back money.

AirCo was absolutely great to work with! Quoted as a two day project, they arrived on time and stayed within budget for the install. Included removal of all old hardware and kept the work space looking clean after they left. Excited to work with them again in the future!
