Southern Roofing and Renovations

2 1/2 years ago, southern roofing and reservations did my roof after the recent rains and the sprain it appeared there was a leak. After trying for three weeks to get someone to come take a look at it they finally did only to inform me that my warranty was only for two years subsequently I tried to get a quote from them after calling back no less than 10 times speaking with management no one to this day has returned my calls and giving me a quote to fix a problem that seems to be a defect in the way that they installed the roof is my opinion that they don’t want to do repair because it will become a parenting the error that they made installing the roof as a result of poor business policies and poor follow up I highly recommend not ever using southern roofing and renovations.

Had southern roofing replace roof. Actually roof looks fine. There were multiple roofing nails in driveway and when I brought it to the supervisors attention he simply said we removed thousands of nails, you can’t expect us to get them all. My neighbor actually had one of the moisture barrier nails in his yard that went through his shoe-luckily did not puncture foot. Worst part-i am owed money back from final payment and it has been over 4 months and still have not received the money back from them for interior repairs and can get no one to answer calls or you emails. Plenty of roofing companies out there-i would use one of them instead.

I had Southern Roofing replace my residential roof. They also removed my old turtle vents and power vents and upgraded everything to ridge vents. Brendan O'Neil was the project manager for my project. I have had many contractors work on my house through the years and Brendon was far and above the best Project Manager I have had the pleasure to work with. He made sure the team showed up on site on time and was onsite for most of the work. He kept me informed of progress...communication was excellent. When I brought up some issues, he quickly resolved them to my satisfaction. The company is easy to work with - they handled all the details with my insurance company....really smooth process. I HIGHLY recommend this company for any roofing projects you may have.

Southern Roofing and Renovations (SRR) broke the law and stole my money. SRR broke the law by illegally depositing my $64k insurance check for damage repairs into their bank account without approval or endorsement from my mortgage company, who was designated as a payee on the check and required by law to endorse. This action prevented my mortgage company from maintaining oversight of repairs and metering funds only when repairs were complete and inspected by a 3rd party. 100 year oak tree smashed my house. Someone on my street recommended SRR. SRR said they were also a "contractor". SRR installed a faulty roof on my home (which leaks) and omitted all soffit and whirly bird venting that previously existed. They also used ridge shingle materials below the standard required by my insurance company. Over a year later, the roof had not been fixed and no other home repairs had been completed. Upon requesting to terminate the contract, which stated a max termination penalty of 2k, SRR pocketed egregious profits 20-30% higher than they quoted my insurance and approximately 10k in personal "commissions" for several employees. The owner of SRR was given multiple chances to make this right, but chose not to take action. Proof that SRR committed fraud is attached. On the front of the check, you will see the 3 payees listed: myself, SRR, and my mortgage company. On the back, you will notice there is only endorsement from myself and SRR - TWICE, but not my mortgage company. This is wire fraud. Beware.

Travis Blankenship with Southern Roofing and Renovations has provided a ton of value for our household. He’s made the process super smooth between us and our insurance company. From the beginning, he has been on time, prepared, and transparent. He made sure he was at our house with the insurance adjuster and the construction crew to insure everything went smoothly. As an inspector in my line of work, I truly appreciated Travis for his attention to details and making sure the job was done right. I was away on work travel when Travis gave me a call telling me he halted the job due to the decking not being up to code. He was able to get our insurance to pay for the entire roof to be re-decked to meet code and be eligible for the shingle warranty. I made the right decision to go with this company as I had 5 other contractors come to our house and give us quotes. None of which made an effort to work with our insurance. These guys know their stuff and do quality work. Beyond thankful for Travis and his team.

I highly recommend Ben Vaughn and Lance Mann from this roofing company. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. They not only handled the insurance claim efficiently, securing the maximum amount, but also paid meticulous attention to detail. They went the extra mile by repainting the turbine vents to match the roof color, ensuring a seamless look. Moreover, their expertise ensured the skylight was properly secured, enhancing both safety and aesthetics. Once the insurance company denied a new roof , they never came back to replace shingles they took off for testing. I’ve called and talked with Christy in the office and left others in higher up positions messages. No one ever reached back out to correct this situation. I have hired another company to replace what they took. Never let anyone from this company even on your roof to look at it. Very disappointing and I did leave a review with the BBB.
